Abstract
Problem-Based Learning (PBL) adalah suatu pembelajaran aktif dan pendekatan belajar yang berpusat pada mahasiswa. Kinerja mahasiswa selama diskusi kelompok PBL, termasuk proses dan sikap mahasiswa merupakan fokus utama penilaian sesuai dengan standar kompetensi kedokteran gigi. Dengan demikian PBL dapat dipandang sebagai sebuah metode belajar kelompok yang memadukan pengetahuan dan pengembangan keterampilan dan sikap umum. Sikap merupakan ekspresi dari nilai-nilai atau pandangan hidup yang dimiliki oleh seseorang. Sikap terdiri dari tiga komponen, yaitu afektif atau attitude, kognitif, dan konatif atau psikomotor. Pengetahuan/ kognitif adalah kepercayaan atau keyakinan seseorang mengenai objek. Afektif adalah persepsi yang dimiliki oleh seseorang atau penilaiannya terhadap objek. psikomotor adalah kecenderungan untuk berperilaku berkenaan dengan kehadiran objek. Afandi (2016) menyatakan terdapat hubungan antara kemampuan kognitif dan kemampuan psikomotorik. Maka dari itu, peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti hubungan antara kognitif dengan afektif dengan cara meneliti sikap mahasiswa pada diskusi kelompok PBL dengan nilai blok yang diperoleh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara sikap mahasiswa pada diskusi kelompok PBL dengan nilai ujian blok mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Brawijaya.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan rancangan penelitian cross-sectional, dengan melakukan observasi nilai sikap mahasiswa pada saat diskusi kelompok PBL dan nilai ujian blok tahun ajaran 2018/2019 sebanyak 143 mahasiswa. Hasil uji statistika didapatkan sikap mahasiswa pada diskusi kelompok PBL berhubungan dengan nilai ujian blok mahasiswa fakultas kedokteran gigi universitas brawijaya dengan nilai signifikansi (p) = 0,006. Nilai pearson correlation (r) sebesar 0,231 yang berarti kekuatan hubungan tersebut lemah, dan terdapat angka positif pada nilai signifikansi (p = 0,006) yang artinya arah hubungan tersebut bernilai positif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan yang positif antara sikap pada diskusi kelompok PBL dan nilai ujian blok 12 mahasiswa fakultas kedokteran gigi universitas brawijaya tahun ajaran 2018/2019 dengan kekuatan hubungan lemah.
English Abstract
Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is an active learning and student-centered learning approach. Student performance during PBL group discussion including the process and attitudes of students is the main focus of assessment in accordance with the standards of dental competence. PBL can be seen as a group learning method that combines knowledge and development of general skills and attitudes. Attitude is a values expression or image of life that are owned by someone. Attitudes consist of three components, namely affective or attitude, cognitive, and conative or psychomotor. Knowledge / cognitive is a person's beliefs or beliefs about an objects. Affective is a perception which owned by someone or an assessment of an object. Psychomotor is the tendency to behave with regard to the presence of objects. Afandi (2016) states that there is a relationship between cognitive abilities and psychomotor abilities. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining the relationship between cognitive and affective by examining student attitudes in the PBL group discussion with the score of student’s block exam obtained. The purpose of this study was to determine is there any relationship between student attitudes in the PBL group discussion with the student’s block exam score of the Faculty of Dentistry Brawijaya University. This study was an analytic observational, quantitative approach study with a cross-sectional approach, by calculating student attitudes values during group discussions. PBL and student block scores examination for 2018/2019 academic year are 143 students. The results of the statistical test found that students' attitudes in the PBL group discussion were related to the value of the block examination of dentistry faculty of Brawijaya university students with a significance value (p) = 0.006. Pearson correlation value (r) is 0,231 which means the strength of the relationship is weak, and there is a positive number on the significance value (p = 0,006) which means the direction of the relationship is positive. The conclusion of this study there is a positive relationship between attitudes in the PBL group discussion and student’s block exam score in faculty of dentistry brawijaya university in the 2018/2019 academic year with the strength of weak relationships.
