Abstract
Kailan (Brassica oleraceae L. var. Alboglabra) ialah tanaman yang termasuk dalam jenis kubis-kubisan. Kailan dapat dikonsumsi sebagai bahan masakan dan juga dapat dikonsumsi mentah sebagai lalapan karena daunnya memiliki rasa legit. Kailan termasuk dalam kelompok tanaman sayuran yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi sehingga memiliki prospek bisnis yang cukup menguntungkan. Menurut Badan Pusat Statistika, hasil produksi kailan di Jawa Timur pada tahun 2017 mencapai 39.399 ton. Produksi tersebut dapat ditingkatkan dengan cara memperbaiki teknik budidaya yang dilakukan. Perbaikan teknik budidaya dapat dilakukan salah satunya dengan pemupukan. Bagian tanaman kailan yang dimanfaatkan ialah bagian daunnya. Kandungan nitrogen dalam pupuk organik cair ialah sebesar 0,06% sedangkan pada pupuk NPK sebesar 16%. Umumnya petani menggunakan pupuk NPK karena beberapa alasan seperti mudah didapatkan dan harganya yang terjangkau bagi petani. Selain itu, pupuk NPK mengandung unsur hara makro yang dibutuhkan tanaman yaitu unsur hara nitrogen, fosfor, dan kalium. Namun, pupuk NPK memiliki kekurangan karena pupuk tersebut termasuk pupuk anorganik, sehingga apabila diberikan secara terus menerus dapat berdampak buruk terhadap lahan (Sudjana, 2014). Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penelitian tentang pemberian pupuk organik cair dan pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kailan (Brassica oleraceae L. var. Nova). Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mendapatkan teknologi penggunaan pupuk organik cair untuk budidaya tanaman kailan (Brassica oleraceae L. var. Nova). Hipotesis dari penelitian ini ialah penggunaan pupuk organik cair saja dapat menghasilkan bobot segar tanaman kailan lebih baik daripada dengan pupuk NPK. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September - Oktober 2019 di Dadaprejo, Kecamatan Junrejo, Batu, Jawa Timur. Lokasi penelitian terletak pada ketinggian ±650m dpl, suhu rata-rata harian sekitar 25-30°C. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian non faktorial yang dirancang menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang terdiri dari 9 perlakuan antara lain tanpa pupuk organik cair + tanpa pupuk NPK (P1), tanpa pupuk organik cair + pupuk NPK 950 kg ha-1 (P2), pupuk organik cair 2 ml L-1 + pupuk NPK 900 kg ha-1 (P3), pupuk organik cair 3 ml L-1 + pupuk NPK 850 kg ha-1 (P4), pupuk organik cair 4 ml L-1 + pupuk NPK 800 kg ha-1 (P5), pupuk organik cair 5 ml L-1 + pupuk NPK 750 kg ha-1 (P6), pupuk organik cair 6 ml L-1 + pupuk NPK 700 kg ha-1 (P7), pupuk organik cair 7 ml L-1 + pupuk NPK 650 kg ha-1 (P8), pupuk organik cair 8 ml L-1 + tanpa pupuk NPK (P9). Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga terdapat 27 satuan percobaan. Data pengamatan yang diperoleh dianalis menggunakan analisis ragam (Uji F) pada taraf 5%. Apabila hasil analisis tersebut berbeda nyata (F hitung ˃ F tabel 5%) maka akan dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut Beda Nyata Terkecil dengan taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian budidaya tanaman kailan dengan pemberian pupuk organik cair saja dengan konsentrasi 8 ml L-1 tanpa pupuk NPK dapat menghasilkanii indeks luas daun, bobot segar tanaman, dan bobot segar konsumsi tertinggi. Pemberian pupuk organik cair saja meningkatkan hasil tanaman kailan dibandingkan pemberian pupuk organik cair yang dikombinasikan dengan pupuk NPK dan juga berdasarkan aspek ekonominya.
English Abstract
Kailan (Brassica oleraceae L. var. Alboglabra) is a plant that belongs to the type of cabbage. Kailan can be consumed as a cooking ingredient and also can be consumed raw as fresh vegetables because the leaves have a legitimate taste. Kailan is included in the group of vegetable plants that have high economic value so that it has a fairly profitable business prospect. Based on the report, the results of kailan production in East Java in 2017 amounted to 39,399 tons. The production can be increased by improving the cultivation techniques carried out. Improvement of cultivation techniques can be done one of them by fertilizing. The nitrogen content in liquid organic fertilizer is 0.06% while in NPK fertilizer it is 16%. In general, farmers use NPK fertilizer for several reasons, such as easy to obtain and affordable prices for farmers. In addition, NPK fertilizer contains macro nutrients needed by plants such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. However, NPK fertilizer has disadvantages, if NPK fertilizer given continuously it can have a negative impact on soil (Sudjana, 2014). Therefore, its use can be combined with liquid organic fertilizer which has the advantage of being more easily absorbed by plants because the elements present in liquid fertilizer have broken down (Santi, 2010). Therefore, research is needed on the application of liquid organic fertilizer and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of kailan plants (Brassica oleraceae L. var. Nova). The purpose of this research is to get technology of liquid organic fertilizer for the cultivation of Kailan (Brassica oleraceae L. var. Nova). The hypothesis of this research is the application of liquid organic fertilizer can produce fresh weight of Kailan better than NPK fertilizer. The research was conducted in September - October 2019 at Dadaprejo, Kecamatan Junrejo, Batu, Jawa Timur. The research was used Randomized Block Design consisting of 9 treatments, these are without organic liquid fertilizer + without NPK fertilizer (P1), without organic liquid fertilizer + NPK fertilizer 950 kg ha-1 (P2), organic liquid fertilizer 2 ml L-1 + NPK fertilizer 900 kg ha-1 (P3), organic liquid fertilizer 3 ml L-1 + NPK fertilizer 850 kg ha-1 (P4), organic liquid fertilizer 4 ml L-1 + NPK fertilizer 800 kg ha-1 (P5), organic liquid fertilizer 5 ml L-1 + NPK fertilizer 750 kg ha-1 (P6), organic liquid fertilizer 6 ml L-1 + NPK fertilizer 700 kg ha-1 (P7), organic liquid fertilizer 7 ml L-1 + NPK fertilizer 650 kg ha-1 (P8), organic liquid fertilizer 8 ml L-1 + without NPK fertilizer (P9). Each treatment was repeated 3 times so that there were 27 experimental units.The observed data was analyzed using variance analysis (Test F) at 5% level. If the results of the analysis are significantly different (F arithmetic ˃ F table 5%) then it will be continued with the test of Least Significant Different with 5% level.iv The results of the research on kailan cultivation by applying liquid organic fertilizer only with a concentration of 8 ml L-1 without NPK fertilizer can produce the highest result of parameter leaf area index, plant fresh weight, and consumption fresh weight. The application of liquid organic fertilizer only can increased the yield of kailan plants compared to the combination of liquid organic fertilizer with NPK fertilizer and also based on its economic aspects.
