Abstract

Semen seng fosfat merupakan bahan semen gigi yang masih banyak digunakan hingga kini. Salah satu kelemahan semen seng fosfat adalah sifat mekanisnya yang relatif rendah. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan penelitian tentang kuat tekan semen seng fosfat konvensional dan nano. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan nilai kuat tekan antara semen seng fosfat konvensional dan nano. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah post test only group design yang dilakukan di laboratorium. Bahan yang digunakan adalah semen seng fosfat konvensional dan semen seng fosfat nano. Metode yang dilakukan diawali dengan pembuatan semen seng fosfat nano menggunakan metode milling. Setelah semen seng fosfat nano terbentuk dilakukan uji XRD dan PSA untuk memastikan ukuran partikel dan tingkat kemurnian dari bubuk semen seng fosfat nano. Kemudiandilakukan manipulasi dan pencetakkan tablet sebanyak 9 buah untuk setiap kelompok. Ukuran tablet semen memiliki tebal 2 mm dan diameter 14 mm. Proses pembuatan tablet dilakukan secara manual kemudian dilakukan uji kuat tekan menggunakan universal testing mechine. Kuat tekan semen seng fosfat nano dibandingkan dengan semen seng fosfat konvensional. Data dianalisa menggunakan uji independent T-Test, didapatkan hasil p = 0,000, hasil tersebut menunjukkan p< 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan analisis X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) menunjukan partikel bubuk tersebut adalah seng fosfat, serta hasil Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) menunjukkan ukuran partikel sebesar 627 nm. Nilai rata-rata kuat tekan semen seng fosfat nano lebih besar dibandingkan dengan semen seng fosfat konvensional. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan kekuatan tekan antara semen seng fosfat konvensional dan semen seng fosfat nano.

English Abstract

Zinc posphate cement is a dental cement material that is still widely used today. One of the disadvantages of zinc phosphate cement is its relatively low mechanical properties. In this study, research was conducted on the compressive strength of conventional and nano zinc phosphate cement. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in the value of compressive strength between conventional and nano zinc phosphate cement. The type of research used was post test only group design carried out in the laboratory. The materials used are conventional phosphate zinc cement and nano zinc phosphate cement. The method carried out begins with making zinc phosphate nano cement using the milling method. After nano zinc phosphate cement was formed XRD and PSA tests were carried out to ascertain the particle size and purity level of the nano zinc phosphate cement powder. Steering is done by manipulating and printing 9 tablets for each group. The size of the cement tablet has a thickness of 2 mm and a diameter of 14 mm. The tablet making process is done manually then the compressive strength test is done using universal testing mechine. Compressive strength of nano zinc phosphate cement compared to conventional zinc phosphate cement. Data was analyzed using the independent T-Test, the results obtained p = 0,000, these results show p <0.05. The results showed the X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) analysis showed that the powder particles were zinc phosphate, and the results of Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) showed a particle size of 627 nm. The average compressive strength of nano zinc phosphate cement is greater than that of conventional zinc phosphate cement. The conclusion of this study is that there is a difference in compressive strength between conventional zinc phosphate cement and nano zinc phosphate cement.
