Abstract
Aplikasi obat kumur chlorhexidin gluconate 0,2% digunakan untuk pencegahan timbulnya plak dan karies, juga pencegahan penyakit yang menyerang gusi. chlorhexidin gluconate 0,2% memiliki kekurangan, yaitu efek samping berupa noda dan rasa. Noda ini berupa warna kuning atau cokelat pada gigi, tepi tumpatan, dan lidah. Jinten hitam juga memiliki kandungan anti bakteri, anti radang dan menghilangkan bau mulut, saat ini jinten hitam (Nigella sativa L) sudah diproduksi sebagai obat kumur namun belum diketahui apakah akan menyebabkan perubahan warna pada gigi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan perubahan warna gigi pada pemakaian obat kumur chlorhexidine gluconate 0,2% dengan obat kumur jinten hitam (Nigella sativa linn). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian semi eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre and post test group design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel 32 gigi sapi dibagi 2 kelompok obat kumur chlorhexidin gluconate 0,2% dan obat kumur jinten hitam dan diukur sebelum dan sesudah perendaman. Hasil penelitian obat kumur chlorhexidin gluconate 0,2% dan obat kumur jinten berpengaruh terhadap pewarnaan gigi dan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada pemakaian obat kumur jinten hitan dan chlorhexidine gluconate 0,2% terhadap perubahan warna gigi.
English Abstract
The application of chlorhexidin gluconate 0.2% mouthwash is used to prevent the onset of plaque and caries, as well as prevention of diseases that attack the gums. has deficiencies, namely side effects such as stains and taste. This stain is in the form of a yellow or brown color on the teeth, the edge of the rest, and the tongue. chlorhexidin gluconate 0.2%Black cumin also contains anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and eliminates bad breath, currently black cumin (Nigella sativa L) has been produced as a mouthwash but it is not yet known whether it will cause discoloration of the teeth. This study aimed to determine the differences in tooth discoloration in the use of a 0.2% chlorhexidine gluconate mouthwash with black cumin mouthwash (Nigella sativa linn). This study was a semi-experimental study with the research design used was pre and post test group design. Sampling is done by purposive sampling technique. The number of samples of 32 cattle teeth was divided into 2 groups of chlorhexidin gluconate 0.2% mouthwash and black cumin mouthwash and measured before and after immersion. The results of this study were chlorhexidin gluconate 0.2% mouthwash and cumin mouthwash influenced the staining of the teeth and there was a significant difference in the use of cumin black mouthwash and chlorhexidine gluconate 0.2% against tooth discoloration.
