Abstract
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan persepsi antara akuntan dan mahasiswa akuntansi Universitas Brawijaya terhadap kode etik IAI. Analisis didasarkan pada jawaban responden yang diperoleh melalui kuesioner, yang disebarkan di kota Malang. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji Mann- Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan persepsi yang signifikan antara akuntan dan mahasiswa akuntansi terhadap kode etik IAI. Secara keseluruhan semua responden memiliki persepsi positif tentang kode etik, namun akuntan memiliki persepsi yang lebih baik tentang kode etik IAI. Hal ini disebabkan oleh perbedaan pengalaman antara akuntan dan mahasiswa akuntansi
English Abstract
The purpose of this research is to identify the differences in perception regarding the code of conduct og IAI (Institue of Indonesia Chartered Accountants) between accountants and accounting students of Universitas Brawijaya. The analysis was based on respondents’ responses on the questionnairies distributed in Malang city. The hypotheses were tested using Mann-Whitney test. This study finds a great perception difference regarding IAI’s code of conduct between accountants and the accounting students. In general, both respondent groups have a positive perception, but accountants have a better perception since they are more experienced.
