Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan self-perceived employability dengan career decision status pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Brawijaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Adapun partisipan penelitian ini ialah mahasiswa aktif Univeristas Brawijaya yang minimal berada di semester tujuh. Total jumlah partisipan sebanyak 225 orang. Pengambilan subyek menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling. Self-perceived employability akan diukur menggunakan Self-perceived Employabilty Scale milik Rothwell (2008) dengan total 16 aitem menggunakan pilihan jawaban likert sebanyak lima poin, sedangkan career decision status akan diukur dengan Career Decision Scale (CDS) milik Osipow, Carney, Wine, Yanico, dan Koschier (1976) yang dibuat versi dalam Bahasa Indonesia oleh Aquila (2012) dengan total 26 aitem menggunakan pilihan jawaban likert sebanyak empat poin. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan kedua hipotesis diterima yaitu: (1) Terdapat hubungan linier yang positif antara selfperceived employability dengan kepastian karir pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Brawijaya; (2) Terdapat hubungan linier yang negatif antara selfperceived employability dengan keraguan karir pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir Universitas Brawijaya.
English Abstract
This study was directed to determine the relationship between self-perceived employability with career decision status among final-year students at Universitas Brawijaya. This research was a quantitative correlational study. The study participants were active students of the Brawijaya University, who were at least in the seventh semester. The total number of participants was 225 people. This research was taking the subjects using non-probability sampling techniques. Selfperceived employability measured by Self-perceived Employabilty Scale by Rothwell's (2008) with a total of 16 items using a five-point Likert answer option, while career decision status measured by Career Decision Scale by Osipow, Carney, Wine, Yanico, and Koschier (1976) which has been translated into Indonesian by Aquila (2012) with a total of 26 items using a four-point Likert answer option. The results of this study indicate that both hypotheses are accepted, namely: (1) there is a positive linear relationship between self-perceived employability and career certainty at the final year students of Universitas Brawijaya; (2) there is a negative linear relationship between self-perceived employability and career indecision in the final year students of Universitas Brawijaya.
