Abstract

Kupu-kupu merupakan organisme yang memiliki peran penting pada ekosistem. Kupu-kupu hidup pada berbagai macam habitat. Perbedaan karakteristik habitat maupun variasi temporal dapat memberikan perbedaan keanekaragaman kupu-kupu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan struktur komunitas dan keanekaragaman spesies kupu-kupu superfamili Papilionoidea berdasarkan perbedaan habitat dan variasi temporal. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2018 hingga Maret 2019 pada beberapa habitat kupu-kupu yang diantaranya adalah gallery forest, agroforestry, dan hutan pinus kawasan UB Forest, Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Visual Encounter Survey pada kupu-kupu imago. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada pukul 08.00-12.00 WIB dan 13.00-16.00 WIB untuk setiap habitat. Analisis struktur komunitas dilakukan dengan perhitungan indeks keanekaragaman Shanon-Weiner. Kesamaan antar habitat diketahui dengan perhitungan nilai indeks Bray-Curtis. Parameter abiotik seperti intensitas cahaya, suhu, ketinggian, kelembaban, dan kecepatan angin yang diukur kemudian dilakukan analisis multivariate CCA. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan sebanyak 13 spesies kupu-kupu yang berasal dari empat famili kupu-kupu yaitu Nymphalidae, Pieridae, Lycaenidae, dan Papilionidae. Kupu-kupu jenis Ypthima spp. dan Mycalesis spp. yang tergolong pada famili Nymphalidae merupakan jenis paling sering dijumpai dengan frekuensi melebihi 10% pada habitat gallery forest, agroforestry, dan hutan pinus.

English Abstract

The butterfly has an important role in the ecosystem and they live in a different habitat. The differences of habitat characteristic and variation temporal giving a diversity of the butterfly. This research aims to determine the community structure and the diversity of butterfly based on the differences of habitat characteristics and variation temporal. This research was conducted at Karangploso, UB Forest, East Java, in October 2018 until March 2019, on different butterflies habitats such as gallery forest, agroforestry, and pine forest. The butterfly survey was carried out by Visual Encounter Survey method on 08.00 a.m - 12.00 a.m and 01.00 p.m - 04.00 p.m. The community structure data were analyzed by measuring the diversity index of Shannon-Weiner. The similarity of the habitat was measured by the Bray-Curtis index. Multivariate CCA analysis was done to analyzed the relationship between the abiotic factor such as light intensity, temperature, humidity, altitude, wind velocity to the butterflies. Four families of a butterfly were identified such as Nymphalidae, Pieridae, Lycaenidae, and Papilionidae with a total of 13 butterflies species. The Ypthima spp. and Mycalesis spp. butterflies are a Nymphalidae butterfly and they are the most often found butterfly with above 10% relative frequency in every habitat.
