Abstract

Ribuan anak di Somalia sejak lama telah menjadi korban aktivitas tentara anak di Somalia. Selama beberapa tahun terakhir, Somalia memiliki jumlah perekrutan tentara anak tertinggi di dunia. Jumlah tersebut mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya dalam kurun waktu 2014-2017, yang kemudian mendominasi aktivitas tentara anak di dunia. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melihat faktor apa yang melatarbelakangi adanya peningkatan aktivitas tentara anak di Somalia pada kurun waktu tersebut. Untuk menjelaskan fenomena ini, penulis menggunakan Child Soldier Push and Pull Factors oleh Jean Chrysostome K. Kiyala. Konsep ini menjelaskan adanya faktor pendorong dan penarik aktivitas tentara anak di Somalia.

English Abstract

Thousands of Somali children have long been victims of child soldier avtivities. In the last few years, Somalia has the highest number of children recruitment in the world. The number increases every year in 2014-2017, which dominates the child soldier activities in the world. This study aims to examine the increasing activity of child soldier in Somalia during said period. To analyze this phenomenon, the author uses Child Soldier Push and Pull Factors by Jean Chrysostome K. Kiyala. This concept explains the push factors and pull factors of child soldier activities in Somalia.
