Abstract
Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Academic Motivation dengan Academic Success pada Mahasiswa Baru Universitas Brawijaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa baru Universitas Brawijaya Kota Malang berjumlah 200 mahasiwa baru yang dipilih melalui metode purposive sampling. Academic Motivation diukur menggunakan skala AMS sedangkan academic success menggunakan skala ASIC. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa terdapat korelasi antara academic motivation dengan academic success, dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,734 dan signifikan sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05) artinya semakin tinggi academic motivation maka semakin tinggi pula academic success begitu pula sebaliknya semakin rendah academic motivation semakin rendah pula aacdemic success pada mahasiswa baru Universitas Brawijaya.
English Abstract
This research is to find out the relationship between Academic Motivation and Academic Success in New Students of Universitas Brawijaya. The research method used is quantitative correlational. The subjects in this study were 200 new students from Universitas Brawijaya Malang, selected through the purposive sampling method. Academic Motivation is measured using the AMS scale while academic success uses the ASIC scale. The results of this study explain that there is a correlation between academic motivation and academic success, with a correlation value of 0.734 and a significance of 0,000 (p <0.05) meaning that the higher the academic motivation, the higher the academic success and vice versa the lower the lower academic motivation also aacdemic success in new students of Universitas Brawijaya.
