Abstract

Daerah Irigasi (D.I) Sumber Pakem mempunyai luas daerah layanan irigasi 1.151 ha terletak di Kabupaten Jember dan Kabupaten Bondowoso Provinsi Jawa Timur. Sistem pemberian air eksisting di daerah studi belum dilaksanakan secara efektif dan efisien sehingga terjadi permasalahan pembagian air pada saat musim kemarau serta terjadinya fluktuasi ketersediaan air antara musim hujan dan musim kemarau di Kali Banyubang pada saat musim hujan yang belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air irigasi di saat musim kemarau. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan kajian kembali terkait sistem pemberian airnya dan alternatif penyimpanan kelebihan air pada saat musim hujan dan dimanfaatkan pada saat musim kemarau dengan sumur renteng. Dari hasil studi dengan evaluasi kembali neraca air pada daerah studi dapat meningkatkan intensitas tanaman padi saat Musim Tanam 1 sebesar 2,03% dan Musim Tanam 2 sebesar 27,28% dengan memanfaatkan debit surplus sungai pada periode tersebut. Debit surplus sungai juga dimanfaatkan untuk mengisi sumur renteng sebanyak 6599 sumur (103 jaringan) dengan penambahan debit intake sebesar 6 lt/dt selama 135,33 hari dan dilakukan pada saat sistem pemberian air irigasi pada daerah studi dilakukan secara terus-menerus sehingga tidak mengganggu pola pemberian air irigasi pada daerah studi. Penerapan sumur renteng saat Musim Tanam 3 untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air tanaman tembakau seluas 467 ha. Sehingga luas layanan irigasi saat Musim Tanam 3 menjadi 684 ha dan dapat meningkatkan intensitas tanaman padi sebesar 38,02%.

English Abstract

The Irrigation Area of Sumber Pakem has an irrigation service area of 1,151 ha, located in Jember Regency and Bondowoso Regency in the Province of East Java. The existing water supply system in the study area has not been implemented effectively and efficiently, causing water distribution problems during the dry season and fluctuations of water availability between the rainy season and the dry season in Banyubang River, which during the rainy season has not been fully utilized to meet irrigation water needs during the dry season. For this reason, a repeat study is needed on the water supply system and the alternative of storing excess water during the rainy season to be used during the dry season with connected wells. The results of the study showed that a re-evaluation of water balance in the study area could increase the crop intensity of rice fields during Planting Season 1 by 2.03% and Planting Season 2 by 27.28% by utilizing the surplus river discharge in that period. The surplus river discharge was also used to fill 6599 connected wells (103 networks) with an additional intake discharge of 6 l/sec for 135.33 days and carried out as the irrigation water supply system in the study area continues to run, so as not to disturb the pattern of irrigation water supply to the study area. The application of connected wells during Planting Season 3 is to meet the water needs of tobacco plants covering an area of 467 ha. Thus, the area of irrigation supply during Planting Season 3 becomes 684 ha, increasing rice field crop intensity by 38.02%.
