English Abstract

Support of community is important things in ecotourism management. One of ways to examine of it is through assessing ecotourism from their perspective and participation. This study waas counducted in Resort Ranu Pani, Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. For collecting data, it used qulitative approach by interviewing key informants. Assessing on ecotourism consisted of management, social dan economy, culture and environnmental aspects. And these assessing based on Global Sustainable Tourism Council criteria. The results showed that ecotourism management was running well, however it was needed improvement. And, based on local people views, ecotourism might increase their income. Further, in culture heritage aspects, the authority had supported in term of culture preserving and culture events. Meanwhile, in environmental aspects, the manager of national park together with the community had efforted to reduce biodeversity disturbance and to manage garbage in around ecotourism area. Also, local people had participated in ecotourism.
