Abstract

Penciptaan karya ini membahas tentang Dilematika Obesitas dalam “Baksoisme” sebagai Ide Penciptaan Seni Lukis. Kelebihan berat dan Obesitas badan menjadi dampak utama pola makan yang terlalu berlebihan dan tidak sehat, walaupun di antaranya disebabkan oleh faktor genetik. Menjadi seorang “Baksoisme” menimbulkan dilema tersendiri bagi penulis. Kandungan gizi yang terdapat dalam bakso kemudian menjadi inspirasi besar bagi penulis dalam menciptakan karya sebagai otokritik agar dapat menjaga pola makan dengan baik. Tujuan penciptaan ini adalah meningkatkan wawasan dalam bentuk penciptaan tugas akhir dengan memvisualisasikan obesitas dalam baksosisme, sekaligus sebagai media refleksi dan motivasi. Konsep Penciptaan ini terinspirasi dari karya Arifien Neif, karya busana Dolce & Gabbana, karya Krijono, karya Citra Sasmita, karya Fernando Bottero dan karya Dias Prabu. Landasan penciptaan yang digunakan, antara lain: bakso di Indonesia, dilematika obesitas & teori penyadaran, unsur dan aliran seni lukis. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksplorasi, perancangan dan perwujudan oleh SP Gustami (2007, hal 329). Proses penciptaan karya tersebut menghasilkan enam karya lukis, antara lain : karya pertama berjudul “Pilih yang mana”, kedua “Nyaman”, ketiga “Buncit”, keempat “Mikirin Bakso”, kelima “Percaya Diri” dan keenam “Lupa Diri”. Semua karya tersebut akan digelar di ruang pamer menggunakan pigura. Karya-karya tersebut merupakan bentuk refleksi dan motivasi tersendiri untuk mengurangi berat badan berlebih, bukan sebagai media protes dan memprovokasi untuk tidak mengonsumsi bakso. Karya lukis tersebut memvisualisasikan wanita bertubuh gendut sebagai bentuk diri sendiri dan mengajak seseorang dengan tipe tubuh mudah gemuk agar menjaga pola makan berlebih, sedangkan tipe tubuh kurus agar banyak mengonsumsi banyak bakso agar tubuh sehat dan tidak terlalu kurus.

English Abstract

The creation of this work discusses the Obesity Dilemma in "Baksoism" as the Idea of the Creation of Painting. Being overweight and obese are the main effects of overeating and unhealthy eating patterns, even though some of them are caused by genetic factors. Being a "Baksoism" raises a dilemma for the writer. The nutritional content contained in the meatballs then makes great inspiration for writers in creating works as self-criticism in order to maintain a good diet. The purpose of this creation is to increase insight in the form of final project creation by visualizing obesity in baksosism, as well as a medium of reflection and motivation. The concept of Creation was inspired by Arifien Neif's work, Dolce & Gabbana's fashion work, Krijono's work, Citra Sasmita's work, Fernando Bottero's and Dias Prabu's. The basis of creation used, among others: meatballs in Indonesia, obesity dilemma & awareness theory, elements and flow of painting. The method used is exploration, design and realization by SP Gustami (2007, p. 329). The process of creating these works resulted in six paintings, including: the first work entitled "Choose which one", the second "Comfortable", the third "Buncit", the fourth "Thinking about Meatballs", the fifth "Confidence" and the sixth "Forgetting Yourself". All works will be presented in a showroom using a frame. These works are a form of reflection and motivation to reduce excess body weight, not as a media to protest and provoke not to consume meatballs. The painting visualizes a fat woman as a form of oneself and invites someone with an easily obese body type to maintain an excessive diet, while a thin body type consumes a lot of meatballs so the body is healthy and not too thin
