English Abstract
The rapid development of internet and the new technology has stimulated the banking sector towards offering its services online. This paper examines the determinants of intention to use new technology in Libyan banks. While there has been considerable researches which studied the technology acceptance model (TAM) that predicts whether individuals will accept to use information system, the research factors are developed based on an extended ( TAM ), by incorporating two additional factors "trust" and "attitude to use". The data was collected from 100 respondents from the customers of Libyan banks through questionnaire. The hypotheses were tested using PLS to determine the effect of the factors on the intention to use the new technology. The results revealed that perceived usefulness and trust have a positive significant effect, while perceived ease of use has no effect on intention to use the new technology. It revealed also that attitude plays the role of mediator to mediate the relationship between perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and trust on intention to use the new technology.
