Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh investasi, pertumbuhan ekonomi, tingkat pendidikan dan upah terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan regresi data panel model fix effect dengan pendekatan Panel Least Squares (PLS) unit analisis 9 kabupaten/ kota di Provinsi Kalimantan Timur dalam kurun waktu 8 tahun selama periode 2010-2017. Hasil empiris dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa investasi berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan, pertumbuhan ekonomi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan, dan tingkat pendidikan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja. Sedangkan upah tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja.
English Abstract
The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of the investment, economic growth, education background and allowance on the labor absorption. Furthermore, the panel data regression with fix effect model was used in this research with Panel Least Squares (PLS) approach and also there were the unit of analysis which consists of 9 regencies/cities in East Kalimantan province in the span of 8 years in 2010-2017. The empirical evidence of this research show that the investment has a negative and significant influence, while the economic growth has a positive and significant influence and also education background which also has a positive and significant influence on the labor absorption. On the other hand, allowance has no significant influence on the labor absorption.
