Abstract

Pendugaan struktur bawah permukaan dalam geofisika dapat diteliti dengan beberapa metode, salah satunya dengan metode magnetotellurik. Metode ini memanfaatkan gelombang elektromagnet yang ditangkap oleh sensor medan magnet dan sensor medan listrik. Metode ini menghasilkan data time series medan listrik dan medan magnet, yang selanjutnya dimodelkan menjadi penampang resistivitas 2-D. Struktur bawah permukaan zona semburan lumpur Sidoarjo terbagi atas 3 struktur lapisan. Struktur bagian atas (lapisan 1) dari permukaan hingga mencapai kedalaman 1000 m dengan rentang nilai resistivitas 4 – 6 Ω

English Abstract

The estimation of subsurface structure in geophysics can be studied by several methods, one of them with magnetotelluric method. This method utilizes electromagnetic waves captured by magnetic field sensors and electric field sensors. This method produces time series data of electric fields and magnetic fields, which are then modeled into 2-D resistivity sections. Subsurface structures Sidoarjo mudflow zone is divided into three layers structure. The structure of the top (layer 1) from the surface to reach a depth of 1000 m with a range of values of resistivity of 4-6 Ωm suspect a sedimentary rock nemely alluvium, layer 2 at a depth of 1500 to 3500 m with a range of values of resistivity 60-120 Ωm in the suspect is a rock Sediment namely sandstone and clay, and layer 3 at a depth of 4000 to 5000 m with a resistivity range of 250 - 1050 Ωm in suspect volcanic rock namely lava and basalt stone.
