Abstract
Keputusan pembiayaan operasional merupakan fenomena yang harus dicermati oleh sekolah tinggi teologi, karena berkaitan dengan keberlangsungan hidup institusi dan keberlangsungan pelayanan pekerjaan Tuhan dalam bidang pendidikan teologi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap dan memahami penerapan nilai – nilai Kristiani yang menjadi dasar dalam mekanisme pengambilan keputusan pembiayaan operasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan interpretatif dengan paradigma post-positivisme dan desain penelitian adalah studi kasus. Obyek dari penelitian ini adalah sekolah tinggi teologi di Kota Batu yang berada di bawah naungan Yayasan Providensia Batu Indonesia. Unsur pimpinan sekolah, unsur yayasan, dan peseta didik merupakan informan. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa penerapan nilai – nilai Kristiani sebagai dasar mekanisme pengambilan keputusan pembiayaan operasional di sekolah tinggi teologi, akan menghasilkan bentuk pembiayaan operasional yang dapat dikelola dengan jujur dan mandiri, serta mencerminkan keteguhan iman dan kepedulian kepada sesama. Sekolah tinggi teologi telah menerapkan prinsip – prinsip manajemen keuangan melalui proses pengambilan keputusan pembiayaan operasional yang transparan, dapat dipertanggungjawabkan, dan konsisten, dimana prinsip tersebut didukung oleh nilai moral yang terkandung dalam nilai – nilai Kristiani yang mengutamakan kejujuran, kepercayaan, keteraturan, keterbukaan, keadilan, dan cinta kasih. Selain itu, hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan perbedaan karakter dan sudut pandang indiviu menjadi kendala yang dihadapi dalam menerapkan proses pengambilan keputusan pembiayaan operasional yang berdasarkan pada nilai – nilai Kristiani.
English Abstract
Operational financing decision viewed as a phenomenon that must be concerned by the theological seminary because it is related with the sustainability of the institution and the continuity of services to the God through theological education. The purpose of this study is to reveal the implementation of the Christian values which associated with the mechanism of operational financing decision. This study use interpretative approach with post-positivism paradigm and the design of this study is single case study. The object of this study is a theological seminary in Batu City that is under Providensia Batu Indonesia foundation. The informants including the leaders of the theological seminary, the members of the foundation, and the students. The data obtained through interviews and documentation. This study revealed that the application of Christian values as the base for operational financing decision mechanism in the theological seminary will create a decision of operational financing form that not only managed honestly and independently, but also reflect the faith and reflect the concern of others. Theological seminary has practice the principles of financial management in operational financing decision process which transparent, accountable, and consistent. These principles are supported by the moral value of Christian values which consists of honesty, trust, orderliness, openness, justice, and love. Furthermore, the character differences and individual point of view become the obstacles to apply operational financing decision process which based on the Christian values.
