Abstract
Selama kurang lebih 2 dekade Reproductive Rights Movement di Irlandia mengalami stagnan, namun pada tahun 2012 Reproductive Rights Movement di Irlandia kembali bangkit sebagai respon dari dampak nyata yang dihasilkan dari kriminalisasi Aborsi di Irlandia yang didasari atas berlakunya Amandemen ke-8 dalam Konstitusi Republik Irlandia, yaitu kematian Savita Halappanavar. Gerakan yang fokus untuk memperjuangkan hak reproduksi, terutama hak reproduksi wanita, di Irlandia kini mengerucutkan fokusnya kepada satu masalah kolektif yaitu Amandemen ke-8, sehingga pada tahun 2012 hingga 2018 Reproductive Rights Movement di Irlandia fokus untuk mendorong pencabutan Amandemen ke-8 dari Konstitusi Republik Irlandia. Demi mengubah stigma dan perspektif masyarakat terhadap aborsi dan untuk menuntut pemerintah atas suatu klaim, Reproductive Rights Movement di Irlandia mengerahkan berbagai upaya dan strategi yang dapat ditemui dalam konsep Social Movement milik Charles Tilly.
English Abstract
For 2 decades the Reproductive Rights Movement in Ireland went stagnant, however in 2012, the death of Savita Halappanavar had pushed the movement to arise once again. Her death was one of the real damaging impact from the 8th Amendment which criminalize abortion in Ireland for 30 years. The movement shifted their main goal, from pursuing women‟s reproductive rights in Ireland to the Repeal of the 8th Amendment from the Constitution of The Republic of Ireland since 2012 until 2018. In order to so Reproductive Rights Movement apply various activity that contains strategic ways in their movement to reduce the stigma and to change the perspective of the Ireland people about abortion whilst demanding claims to the government. These strategies can be found in the Social Movement Concept from Charles Tilly.
