Abstract
Formula enteral merupakan pemerian zat gizi kepada pasien yang tidak dapat memenuhi kebutuhan zat gizinya secara per oral seperti pada pasien kanker. Formula enteral dengan penambahan immnunotrient seperti arginin dan asam lemak omega-3 dapat meningkatkan sistem imun dan mencegah terjadinya kanker kaheksia sehingga mengurangi lama tinggal pasien di rumah sakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kandungan Arginin pada formulasi formula enteral blenderized dengan penambahan minyak ikan yang menggunakan rancangan penelitian Kuasi Eksperimental. Uji kandungan arginin pada ke dua formulasi formula enteral blenderized ini menggunakan metode High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Hasil yang diperoleh berdasarkan uji HPLC tidak terdeteksi adanya arginin pada kedua formula enteral blenderized. Dan berdasarkan perhitungan matematika, formula enteral blenderized mengandung arginin sebesar 1,354 g untuk masing-masing formula enteral blenderized. Tidak terdeteksinya kandungan arginin pada formulasi formula enteral blenderized dengan HPLC bukan berarti bahwa formulasi formula enteral blenderized tersebut tidak mengandung Arginin, melainkan ada beberapa faktor dapat yang mempengaruhi kandungan Arginin selama proses pembuatan formula.
English Abstract
Enteral formula is a description of nutrient to patients who can’t fulfill their nutrition needs orally as in cancer patients. Enteral formulas with immunonutrient additions such as arginine and omega-3 fattu acids can increase the immune system and prevent the occurrence of cahexia cancer, thereby reducing the lenght of stay in the hospital. This study aims to determine the difference in arginine content in the formulation of the enteral formula blenderized whit the addition of fish oil using the Quasi Experimental research design. The arginine content test in the two enteral blenderized formula formulations used the High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method. The results obtained based on the HPLC test did not detect the presence of arginine in both enteral blenderized formulas. And based on mathematical calculations, the enteral blenderized formula contains arginine of 1,354 g for each enteral blenderized formula. The detection of arginine content in the formulation of the enteral formula blenderized with HPLC does not mean that the formulation of the enteral blenderized formula does not contain arginine, but there are several factors that can affect the content of arginine during the formulation making process.
