Abstract
Ketergantungan internet game pada remaja dapat dilihat dari durasi memainkan internet game yang mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa remaja belum dapat memahami dan mengontrol diri sendiri dalam melakukan suatu aktifitas. Keluarga juga kurang memperhatikan aktifitas remaja sehingga mengarah ada perilaku yang menyimpang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara fungsi keluarga dengan ketergantungan internet game pada remaja di SMP Salahuddin malang. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan cross sectional dengan alat ukur kuesioner. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 165 orang yang diambil dari teknik purposive sampling. Instrument pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner fungsi keluarga Model McMaster Family Assessment Device (FAD) dan kuesioner ketergantungan internet gameGameAddiction Scale for Adolescents (GAS). Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa nilai fungsi keluarga tertinggi berada pada kategori sedang sebanyak 81 orang (49,1%) dan ketergantungan internet game tertinggi pada kategori berat sebanyak 71 orang (43,0%). Analisis hubungan menggunakan uji statistik Spearman’s Rank Correlationyang menunjukan p-value sebedar 0,000 dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,607 yang menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara fungsi keluarga dengan tingkat ketergantungan internet game pada remaja dengan tingkat kekuatan kuat dan arah hubungan negatif. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa fungsi keluarga yang baik akan menurunkan tingkat ketergantungan internet game pada remaja.
English Abstract
Internet game addiction on adolescents can be currently indicated from duration of playing the internet game which tends to increase more intensely. This phenomenon shows that the adolescents are still not capable of understanding and controlling themselves to do activity. Moreover, the family does not care and less focus to the children’s activity, so it might lead to improper behavior. This research aims to analyze the relation between the function of family role and internet game addiction on adolescents in Salahuddin Junior High School Malang. This research exerts cross sectional approach as a research design through questionnaires. The total research sample is 165 respondents which are taken from technique of purposive sampling. The research instrument employs questionnaires concerning to the family functions of Model McMaster of Family Assessment Device (FAD) and internet game addiction of Game Addiction Scale for Adolescents (GAS). Based on the research finding, it shows that the higher value of family function is on the mediate category in approximately 81 respondents (49,1%), while the higher value of internet game addiction is on the heavy category in approximately 71 respondents (43,0%). Further, this research employs statistic test of Spearman’s Rank Correlation to analyze the relation between those two variables. From the analysis, it shows that p-value 0,000 and correlation coefficient value -0,607. Those values indicate that there is a relation between the family function and level of internet game addiction on adolescents in the level of heavy certainty and negative tendency. In sum, this research concludes that the good function of family will be able to decrease the level of internet game addiction on adolescents.
