Abstract
Salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan self care pada pasien gagal jantung adalah depresi. Tingkat Depresi yang tinggi dapat mempengaruhi self care menjadi kurang optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisa korelasi antara tingkat depresi dan self care pada pasien gagal jantung di Poli Jantung RSI Unisma. Rancangan penelitian dengan cara mengobservasi melalui pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik consecutive sampling digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel berjumlah 100 sampel. Mengukur tingkat depresi digunakan beck depression inventory II (BDI-II) dan untuk mengukur self care digunakan self care heart failure index (SCHFI) yang dimodifikasi dalam bentuk kuesioner. Uji statistik dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji korelasi spearman. Hasilnya didapatkan bahwa 51 responden (51%) memiliki tingkat depresi minimal. Sebanyak 72 responden (72%) memiliki self care yang sedang. Hasil uji statistik korelasi spearman memiliki nilai p 0.000 yang menyatakan terdapat korelasi yang bermakna antara tingkat depresi dengan self care. Nilai koefisien korelasi spearman adalah -0.505. Nilai ini menunjukkan tingkat keeratan hubungan antara tingkat depresi dengan self care berada dalam kategori sedang dimana hasil negatif memperlihatkan adanya hubungan tidak searah yang artinya semakin tinggi tingkat depresi maka self care akan semakin rendah, begitu pula sebaliknya. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa tingkat depresi berhubungan dengan self care pada pasien gagal jantung. Disarankan bagi perawat diharapkan dapat memberikan edukasi terkait perawatan diri dan memberikan asuhan keperawatan secara holistic sehingga pasien dapat lebih memperhatikan kondisi depresi yang dialami dan meningkatkan kemampuan self care. Bagi Rumah Sakit diharapkan dapat mengembangkan program pelatihan perawat edukator jantung.
English Abstract
One of the factors that can affect the ability of self care in heart failure patients is depression. High levels of depression can affect self care to be less than optimal. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between the level of depression and self care in heart failure patients at Cardiac Poly RSI Unisma. The research design by observing through the cross sectional approach. The consecutive sampling technique used in sampling was 100 samples. To measure the level of depression, a beck depression inventory II (BDI-II) questionnaire was used and to measure self care a modified self care heart failure index (SCHFI) questionnaire was used. The statistical test in this study used the Spearman correlation test. The results showed that 51 respondents (51%) had minimal depression levels. A total of 72 respondents (72%) had moderate self care. The results of the spearman correlation statistical test have a value of p 0.000 which states that there is a significant correlation between the level of depression and self care. The Spearman correlation coefficient is -0.505. This value indicates the degree of closeness of the relationship between the level of depression and self care in the medium category where the negative results show that there is a unidirectional relationship which means that the higher the level of depression, the self care will be lower, and vice versa. The results of this study found that the level of depression was associated with self care in heart failure patients. It is recommended for nurses to be able to provide education related to self-care and provide nursing care holistically so that patients can pay more attention to the condition of depression experienced and improve self-care abilities. For hospitals it is expected to develop a heart educator nurse training program.
