Abstract
Kecelakaan merupakan kejadian yang tidak terduga dan dapat terjadi dimana saja termasuk kecelakaan dalam rumah tangga. Pertolongan harus segera diberikan untuk meminimalisir tingkat morbiditas dan mortalitas korban kecelakaan melalui Pertolongan Pertama Pada Kecelakaan (P3K). Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan di Desa Umbul Damar, Blitar didapatkan kasus tersering dan tidak diketahui cara pertolongannya oleh warga adalah kasus perdarahan, tersedak, dan terbakar sehingga perlu diadakan suatu penyuluhan P3K untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan warga mengenai kasus kegawatdaruratan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penyuluhan P3K menggunakan media audiovisual dan media leaflet terhadap pengetahuan mengenai P3K pada ibu-ibu PKK Desa Umbul Damar, Blitar. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental design melalui pendekatan two group pretest-posttest without control grup yang dibagi menjadi kelompok penyuluhan audiovisual dan Leaflet. Responden sejumlah 70 orang dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling dari ibu-ibu PKK di Desa Umbul Damar, Blitar. Hasil penelitian dari penyuluhan P3K yang dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2019 diuji menggunakan Wilcoxon signed rank menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh penyuluhan audiovisual (p<0.05) dan Leaflet (p<0.05) terhadap pengetahuan ibu-ibu mengenai P3K. Penyuluhan audiovisual lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan P3K ibu-ibu PKK daripada menggunakan media Leaflet yang dibuktikan dengan hasiluji Mann-Whitney (p=0.001).
English Abstract
An accident is an unexpected event that can be occurred everywhere, include household’s accident. Succour by means of first aid must be given to minimize the level of morbidity and mortality. Based on the previous study in Umbul Damar Village, Blitar, the results showed that the most common cases with unknown aid by the inhabitants are bleeding, choke, and burn. Therefore, first aid counselling is needed in order to enhance the emergency knowledge of the inhabitants. This study is aimed to find out the effectiveness of first aid counselling by using audiovisual and leaflet method towards first aid knowledge of Family Welfare Program’s members (Ibu-ibu PKK) in Umbul Damar Village, Blitar. This study is using quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test on two groups without a control group. The sampling technique is purposive sampling with a total number of 70 respondents from the members of the Family Welfare Program in Umbul Damar Village, Blitar. The first aid counselling was held in May 2019 and was analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed rank. Results showed that there is an influence of audiovisual method counselling (p-value < 0.05) and leaflet method counselling (p-value < 0.05) to the knowledge of the Family Welfare Program’s members. To sum up, the audiovisual method counselling is more effective than the leaflet method counselling in order to enhance the knowledge of the Family Welfare Program’s members proven by Mann-Whitney test (p=0.001).
