Abstract
Wajah berperan sebagai pusat perhatian utama seseorang. Namun wajah memiliki mekanisme alamiah yaitu mengeluarkan sebum yang akan menyebabkan tampilan wajah yang berkilau sehingga menimbulkan kesan tampilan wajah yang buruk. Munculnya sebum dapat diatasi dengan penggunaan alas bedak. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan amilum Zea mays terhadap karakteristik alas bedak padat dengan melakukan evaluasi terhadap evaluasi brittle test, drop test dan daya penyerapan sebum serta mencari formula optimumnya. Tiga buah formula alas bedak padat dibuat dengan variasi persentase amilum Zea mays yang berbeda, kemudian formula optimum dibandingkan dengan formula kontrol yang menggunakan talk sebagai pengisi. Setelah dilakukan evaluasi hasil brittle test, formula F2, F3 dan Fkontrol tidak menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan (p>0,05) dan F1 menunjukkan nilai paling rendah dan berbeda signifikan dari formula lainnya dengan massa brittle 0,048 + 0,006 g, pada formula F2 sebesar 0,082 + 0,006 g, pada F3 sebesar 0,069 + 0,004 g. Hasil drop test yang paling baik ditunjukkan oleh F3 dengan jumlah sediaan tidak pecah yang paling banyak. Pada evaluasi penyerapan sebum menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda signifikan (p<0,05) dan hasil F1, F2, F3 dan Fkontrol secara berurutan sebesar 4,243 + 0,116 cm2; 2,351 + 0,050 cm2; dan 1,686 + 0,125 cm2; 2,209+0,048 cm2. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian yaitu peningkatan amilum Zea mays belum berpengaruh signifikan terhadap brittle alas bedak. Pada evaluasi drop test menghasilkan peningkatan kompaktibilitas sediaan dan pada evaluasi daya serap sebum menghasilkan luas absorpsi paling baik yaitu semakin mengecil. Alas bedak optimum yaitu pada formula dengan persentase amilum 70%. Berdasarkan hasil diperoleh formula F3 merupakan formula yang paling baik terlihat dari nilai evaluasi drop test, brittle test dan penyerapan sebum.
English Abstract
Face had an important role due to appearance as focus. The presence of sebum on the face will cause an oily look that gives a negative aesthetic effect. This study was conducted to determine the effect of increasing Zea mays starch on the characteristics of the compact foundation by evaluating brittle test, drop test and absorption of sebum and also looking for the optimum formula. The brittle test evaluation, the formulas F2, F3 and Fcontrol (talk as filler) showed no significant differences (p > 0.05) and F1 showed the lowest value and differed significantly from the other formulas with a brittle mass of 0.048 + 0.006 g, in the F2 formula of 0.082 + 0.006 g, at F3 it is 0.069 + 0.004 g. The best drop test results are shown by F3 with the highest number of unbreakable preparations. The evaluation of sebum absorption showed significantly different results (p <0.05) and sequential results of F1, F2, F3 and Fcontrol is 4.243 + 0.116 cm2; 2,351 + 0,050 cm2; and 1,686 + 0,125 cm2; 2,209 + 0,048 cm2. The conclusion from this research is the increase of Zea mays has not significantly affected in brittle mass from the drop test showed an compactibility increase of the preparation and the evaluation of sebum absorption resulted in the best area of absorption which was getting smaller. The optimum foundation is in the formula with 70% starch percentage. Based on the results obtained F3 formula is the best formula seen from the value of the drop test evaluation, brittle test and sebum absorption.
