Abstract

jumlah perokok diperkirakan semakin meningkat setiap tahun, rokok mengandung radikal bebas yang berbahaya bagi kesehatan sehingga dapat menyebabkan perubahan pada metabolisme lipid. Tujuan: untuk membuktikan ekstrak etanol kulit apel manalagi dapat mencegah peningkatan kadar LDL tikus bunting yang dipapar asap rokok. Metode: penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan Randomized Post Test Only dengan membandingkan kadar LDL antar kelompok, dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok yaitu: K(-) tanpa paparan asap rokok dan tanpa ekstrak etanol kulit apel; K(+) paparan asap rokok tanpa ekstrak etanol kulit apel; Perlakuan, yaitu [P1 (7mg/KgBB), P2 (14mg/KgBB), P3 (28mg/KgBB)] dan paparan asap rokok. Paparan asap rokok dan ekstrak etanol kulit apel diberikan pada hari 6-18 kebuntingan. Hari ke-19 dilakukan pengukuran kadar serum LDL. Data dianalisis dengan ANOVA, dilanjutkan dengan Post Hoc Tukey, dan untuk melihat hubungan maka dilakukan uji korelasi. Hasil: hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kadar serum LDL pada kelompok K(+) lebih besar dari K(-) secara bermakna, sedangkan P1 dan P2 lebih kecil dari K(+) namun tidak berbeda makna, P3 lebih kecil dari K(+) secara bermakna. Kesimpulan: dosis efektif pemberian ekstrak etanol kulit apel manalagi yang mampu mencegah peningkatan kadar serum LDL adalah dosis 28 mg/KgBB.

English Abstract

the number of smokers is estimated to increase every year, cigarettes contain free radicals which are harmful to health, so it can cause changes in lipid metabolism. Objective: to prove the ethanol extract of Manalagi apple peel can prevent an increase in LDL levels in pregnant rat exposed to cigarette smoke. Method: This study used a randomized post test only design by comparing LDL levels between groups, divided into 5 groups: K(-) without exposure to cigarette smoke and without ethanol extract of apple peel; K(+) exposure to cigarette smoke without ethanol extract of apple peel; ethanol extract of apple peel [P1 (7mg/KgBB), P2(14mg/KgBB), P3 (28mg/KgBBB)] and exposure to cigarette smoke. This Exposure of cigarette smoke and ethanol extract of apple peel is given on 6-18 days of pregnancy, day 19 measured serum levels of LDL. Data were analyzed by ANOVA, followed by Post Hoc Tukey, to see the relationship between groups a correlation test was conducted. Results: The results of the study showed that serum LDL levels in the K(+) group were significantly greater than K(-), while P1 and P2 were smaller than K(+) but did not differ in meaning, P3 was smaller than K(+) meaningful. Conclusion: the effective dose of ethanol extract of manalagi apple peel which was able to prevent an increase in serum LDL levels was a dose of 28 mg/KgBB.
