Abstract

Gaya hidup masyarakat jaman sekarang cenderung memilih mengkonsumsi makanan cepat saji yang banyak mengandung MSG. Kandungan MSG tersebut dapat membahayakan kesehatan, terutama kesehatan organ reproduksi wanita yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya infertilitas. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membuktikan adanya pengaruh ekstrak etanol brokoli dalam peningkatan total sel epitel sekretorik dan ketebalan otot polos tuba fallopi yang terpapar MSG. Rancangan penelitian ini yaitu Randomized Post Test Only dengan membandingkan variabel yang diteliti antar kelompok perlakuan. Kelompok dibagi menjadi 5 yaitu: K(-) tidak diberi paparan MSG dan ekstrak etanol brokoli; K(+) diberi paparan MSG 0,7 mg/gBB; P1 (MSG 0,7 mg/gBB +500 mg/kgBB ekstrak etanol brokoli); P2 (MSG 0,7 mg/gBB+1000 mg/kgBB ekstrak etanol brokoli); P3 (MSG 0,7 mg/gBB+2000 mg/kgBB ekstrak etanol brokoli). Pemberian perlakuan dilakukan selama 28 hari. Terminasi dilakukan di hari ke 29 saat tikus dalam fase proestrus, selanjutnya dilakukan pengecatan HE untuk mengetahui gambaran histopatologi tuba fallopi tikus dan diamati dengan Dot Slide Microscopes Olympus BX51. Analisis data menggunakan uji Normalitas; uji Homogenitas; uji ANOVA One Way dan uji Honestly Significant Difference (HSD). Uji ANOVA pada rerata sel epitel sekretorik menghasilkan perbedaan yang bermakna (p= 0,000 atau < 0,05), sedangkan hasil uji HSD membuktikan tidak semua kelompok perlakuan diperoleh perbedaan yang signifikan. Hasil dari uji One Way ANOVA pada rerata tebal lapisan otot polos menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna. Ekstrak etanol brokoli mampu meningkatkan jumlah sel epitel sekretorik dan tebal lapisan otot polos tuba fallopi yang dipapar MSG, meskipun tidak diperoleh perbedaan yang signifikan antar kelompok.

English Abstract

People’s lifestyle nowadays tend to choose consumed fast food that contained MSG. The MSG content can endanger health, especially the health of female’s reproductive organs since it cause infertility. The objective of the study was to prove the effect of broccoli ethanol extract on the increase in total secretory epithelial cells and the thickness of the fallopian tube smooth muscle exposed to MSG. The design of this study is Randomized Post Test Only by comparing the variables studied between treatment groups. The group was divided into 5, namely: K (-) not given MSG exposure and broccoli ethanol extract; K (+) is given exposure to 0.7 mg / gBB MSG; P1 (0.7 mg / gBB + 500 mg / kgBB MSG of broccoli ethanol extract); P2 (0.7 mg / gBB MSG + 1000 mg / kgBB broccoli ethanol extract); P3 (0.7 mg / gBB + 2000 mg / kgBB MSG of broccoli ethanol extract). The treatment was carried out for 28 days. Termination was carried out on the 29th day when the rats were in the proestrus phase, then the HE painting was carried out to determine the histopathology of the rat fallopian tubes and to be observed with Dot Slide Microscopes Olympus BX51. Data analysis using the Normality test; Homogeneity test; One Way ANOVA test and Honestly Significant Difference (HSD ) test. One Way ANOVA test on the average number of secretory epithelial cells and the result were significant differences (p-value = 0,000 or <0,05), while the HSD test results proved that not all of the treatment groups obtained significant differences. The results of the One Way ANOVA test on the mean smooth muscle thickness showed that there were no significant differences. Broccoli ethanol extract were able to increase the total of secretory epithelial cells and thick fallopian smooth muscle layer exposed to MSG, although no significant differences were obtained between groups.
