Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara perceived social support dan depresi peripartum dimana salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya depresi peripartum ialah perceived social support. Partisipan pada penelitian ini merupakan wanita yang sedang berada pada periode peripartum, yaitu wanita hamil dan 4 minggu pasca persalinan di kota Malang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dengan jumlah sample sebanyak 91 partisipan yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sample yaitu accidental sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale untuk mengukur variabel depresi peripartum dan skala Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support untuk mengukur perceived social support. Analisis data yang digunakan ialah pearson product-moment untuk menguji korelasi antara kedua variabel yang diteliti. Hasil uji hipotesis yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini ialah terdapat hubungan negatif antara perceived social support dan depresi peripartum.

English Abstract

This study aims to determine a correlation berween preceived social support and peripartum depression, besides one of the factor that influence peripartum depression is perceived social support. Participants in this study are women who were on the peripartum period, namely pregnant women and 6 weeks postpartum in Malang. This study is correlational study among 91 participants with accidental sampling method.. the instruments that used in collecting data were Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support. The data was analysed using statistical technique of pearson product- moment. The result shows in this study is there is a negative relationship between perceived social support and peripartum depression
