Abstract
Kata-kata yang diucapkan oleh seorang guru juga dikenal dengan istilah Ujaran Guru. Peran dari ujaran guru di dalam kelas sendiri telah menjadi salah satu hal yang sangat penting dalam kelangsungan proses pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penilitan ini ialah untuk menganalisa kategori dalam ujaran guru yang digunakan di dalam proses pembelajaran berdasarkan teori dari Celce-Murcia (1989) mengenai kategori ujaran guru, dan interaksi kelas yang terjadi dalam proses pembelajaran. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah seorang guru, dan seluruh murid yang berada dalam kelas D pada tingkatan High Flyers. Penelitian ini menggunakan perencanaan deskriptif kualitatif. Lembar observasi dan sebuah paduan wawancara telah digunakan sebagai instrument penelitn. Peneliti melakukan observasi selama 2 kali dan juga wawancara kepada murid-murid yang ada di dalam kelas tersebut. Disamping itu, peneliti juga merekam suara pada setiap pertemuan di dalam kelas. Data diambil dari hasil observasi, hasil audio yang telah di salin sebagai teks pada dua kali pertemuan, dan juga hasil dari wawancara dengan para murid. Untuk menjamin kepercayaan dan kebenaran hasil penelitian, peneliti menggunakan metode data trianggulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kategori daripada ujaran guru yang digunakan pada pembelajaran telah tergolong dalam ujaran guru secara langsung. Lalu untuk interaksi di dalam kelas, telah ditemukan bahwa cara murid menanggapi ujaran guru tersebut secara individual. Kiranya, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ujaran guru secara langsung telah di implementasikan pada proses pembelajaran pada kelas yang duteliti. Penerapan tersebut juga berhubungan dengan cara murid-murid tersebut merespon ujaran gurunya. Sebagai saran untuk guru Bahasa Inggris diluar sana ialah, dapat mengambil sisi baik dari Ms. Sam sebagai guru di kelas HF D, dan penting bagi guru untuk kiranya melakukan pendekatan dan menyokong seluruh murid di dalam kelas. Untuk peneliti selanjutnya, dapat melakukan penelitian serupa tentang Analisa ujaran guru di kelas dengan guru penutur Bahasa Inggris asli, dengan guru penutur dari Indonesia. Sebagai tambahan, peneliti selanjutnya dapat meneliti tentang ujaran guru diikuti dengan manajemen kelas di kelas tersebut.
English Abstract
The words uttered by the teacher in the classroom known as Teacher Talk. The role of teacher talk in the classroom has become one of the most important things in the teaching learning process. The purpose of this study is to analyze the categories of teacher talk that used in the classroom based on the teacher talk categories from Celce-Murcia (1989), and the classroom interaction in High Flyers level at English First (EF) Sawojajar Malang. The subjects of the study were the teacher and the students from High Flyers D class. This study used descriptive qualitative as the research design. As the instruments, it was an observation sheets and an interview guide. The researcher conducted the observations two times and had an interview with the students. Besides, the researcher recorded the audio for every meeting. The data was taken from the result of the observations, the transcribed audios, and the results of the interview with the students. For the trustworthiness of the study, the researcher was using the data source triangulation. The result shows that, the teacher talk used in the classroom has been classified as direct teacher talk. For the classroom interaction in the class, it was found that the way students responded to their teacher’s talk was by individually. However, it can be concluded that direct teacher talk was implemented in the learning process. The implementations of this teacher talk were also connected with the way the students respond to their teacher talk. As a suggestion for the English teachers, first, they can take the good sides from Ms. Sam as the teacher in HF D Class, and also it is important to approach and support all of their students. For the future researcher, they can conduct the research about analyzing the teacher talk in the class with native teacher and the other class with non-native teacher. In addition, the future researcher can also observe the teacher talk equipped with the classroom management as well.
