Abstract
Locus of control merupakan persepsi dari seorang individu terkait dengan sebab utama terjadinya suatu peristiwa dalam hidupnya. Locus of control dibagi menjadi dua, internal dan eksternal. Task Commitment merupakan suatu tekat yang kuat dalam diri sendiri untuk mencapai suatu prestasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran dari locus of control internal dan locus of control eksternal terhadap task commitment dalam menyelesaikan tugas akhir pada mahasiswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini jenis penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Data didapat melalui penyebaran kuestioner secara online melalui Google Forms. Daftar subjek yang terkumpul sejumlah 58 orang, terdiri atas 36 orang laki laki, dan 22 orang perempuan yang masih terdaftar sebagai mahasiswa psikologi Universitas Brawijaya angkatan 2013. Data penelitian yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode analisis regresi berganda, dan ditemukan bahwa terdapat peran yang signifikan locus of control internal dan locus of control eksternal terhadap task commitment.
English Abstract
Locus of control is the perception of an individual related to the main cause of an event in his life. Locus of control is divided into two, internal and external. Task Commitment is a strong determination in oneself to achieve an achievement. This study aims to determine the role of internal locus of control and external locus of control on task commitment in completing the final project on students. The research design used in this study is correlational quantitative research. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires online through Google Forms. The list of subjects collected was 58 people, consisting of 36 men, and 22 women who were still registered as 2013 psychology students of University of Brawijaya. The research data obtained were then analyzed using the multiple regression analysis method, and it was found that there was a significant role locus of internal control and external locus of control for task commitment.
