Abstract
Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Dawarblandong yang mengalami kesulitan mengidentifikasi unsur teks cerita fantasi karena kurangnya perhatian siswa pada pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), yang bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan mengidentifikasi unsur teks cerita fantasi. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa penerapan model Quick on The Draw dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengidentifikasi unsur teks cerita fantasi pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Dawarblandong. Peningkatan pada nilai rata-rata kegiatan siswa siklus I memperoleh 68,39 meningkat menjadi 76,47 pada siklus II, dan meningkat lagi menjadi 88,96 pada siklus III. Rata-rata nilai yang diperoleh siswa pada siklus I yaitu 62,92 meningkat menjadi 68,84 pada siklus II, dan meningkat lagi menjadi 78,23 pada siklus III dari keseluruhan aspek penilaian. Peningkatan terjadi karena siswa selalu mengalami perbaikan dan peningkatan dari hasil mengidentifikasi siswa.
English Abstract
The background of this study was the seventh grade students of Dawarblandong 1 Junior High School 1 who had difficulty identifying elements of fantasy story texts because of a lack of student attention to learning. This research is a type of classroom action research (CAR), which aims to improve the ability to identify elements of fantasy story text. The results obtained that the application of the Quick on The Draw model can improve the ability to identify elements of fantasy story text in class VII students of Dawarblandong 1 Public Middle School. The increase in the average value of student activities in the first cycle obtained 68.39 increased to 76.47 in the second cycle, and increased again to 88.96 in the third cycle. The average value obtained by students in the first cycle, which is 62.92 increased to 68.84 in the second cycle, and increased again to 78.23 in the third cycle of the overall aspects of assessment. Increases occur because students always experience improvement and improvement from the results of identifying students.
