Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara kesulitan dalam regulasi emosi dengan penyesuaian diri pada siswa di SMA boarding school. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 83 siswa dengan teknik total sampling dari seluruh siswa kelas X yang berada di SMA Dwiwarna boarding school. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional, karena peneliti berusaha untuk melihat hubungan antara kedua variabel. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala penyesuaian diri dari Nadjamuddin & Prihastuti (2018) dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,789 dan skala kesulitan regulasi emosi menggunakan difficulties in emotion regulation scale (DERS) dari Gratz & Roemer (2004) dengan reliabilitas sebesar 0,93. Data dianalisis menggunakan Pearson’s Product Moment dengan bantuan program SPSS Statistic 23.0. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan nilai korelasi sebesar -0,554 dengan taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (P<0.05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara kesulitan regulasi emosi dengan penyesuaian diri pada siswa SMA boarding school

English Abstract

This research was aimed to knowing determine whether there is a relations between difficulties in emotion regulation and adjustment in students at high school boarding schools. The sample of this research was 83 students which was taken by using total sampling technique from all grade X students who were in Dwiwarna high school boarding school. This study uses a quantitative correlational approach, because the researcher tries to see the relationship between the two variables. The research instrument used in this study used a scale of adjustment from Nadjamuddin & Prihastuti (2018) with a reliability of 0,789 and difficulties emotion regulation using difficulties in emotion regulation scale (DERS) from Gratz & Roemer (2004) with a reliability of 0,93. The Data were analyzed by using Pearson's Product Moment with the help of the SPSS Statistics 23.0 program. The calculation results show a correlation value of -0.554 with a significant level of 0,000 (P <0.05). This revealed that there was negative correlation between difficulties emotion regulation and adjustments in high school boarding school students.
