Abstract
Human trafficking merupakan salah satu bentuk kejahatan transnasional terorganisasi yang terjadi di banyak negara. India merupakan salah satu negara dengan kasus human trafficking yang cukup tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas mengenai penyebab kejahatan human trafficking dilihat melalui faktor politik,ekonomi, dan sosial di India. Penelitian ini menggunakan salah satu model dari model of transnational organized crime milik Roy Godson dan Phil Williams yakni model of conditions. Melalui penggunaan model of conditions, kejahatan human trafficking di India akan dilihat dari 3 faktor. Pertama, faktor politik terkait dengan lemahnya penegakan hukum, adanya korupsi diantara pejabat publik, dan adanya konflik etnis di India. Kemudian faktor ekonomi, untuk melihat keterkaitan antara kondisi perekonomian India dengan dinamika pasar terhadap human trafficking. Selanjutnya faktor sosial, untuk melihat bagaimana keadaan sosial di India dapat mempengaruhi human trafficking disana.
English Abstract
Human trafficking is one form of transnational organized crime that occurs in many countries. India is one of the countries with a high case of human trafficking. This study aims to discuss the causes of human trafficking crime seen through political, economic and social factors in India. This study uses one model of the model of transnational organized crime owned by Roy Godson and Phil Williams, namely the model of conditions. Through the use of the model of conditions, human trafficking crimes in India will be seen from 3 factors. First, political factors are related to weak law enforcement, corruption among public officials, and ethnic conflict in India. Then economic factors, to see the relationship between the economic conditions of India and the market dynamics of human trafficking. Furthermore social factors, to see how social conditions in India can affect human trafficking there.
