Abstract

karya sastra merupakan komunikasi antara sastrawan dan pembacanya. sebuah karya sastra tentunya memunculkan ide kreatifitas pengarang, seperti menaruh unsur hiburan agar dapat dinikmati dan diterima oleh masyarakat luas. Kisah yang diangkat dalam sebuah karya sastra sangat beragam, salah satu contohnya membahas tentang topik-topik yang menyinggung tentang aspek kehidupan bermasyarakat, salah satu contohnya novel karya Clara Ng yang berjudul Gerhana Kembar. Novel tersebut menceritakan tentang kisah percintaan sesama jenis antara dua orang perempuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana lesbianisme dalam novel Gerhana Kembar Karya Clara Ng dan realita sosial pelaku lesbian. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Metode deskriptif digunakan untuk memperoleh data serta menganalisisnya dalam kritik sastra dengan gambaran realitas, sehingga data yang diperoleh valid tanpa perlu mencantumkan hal lain-lain. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa data sekunder yang berasal dari novel berupa narasi dan dialog yang menggambarkan relasi lesbian sedangkan data primer berasal dari hasil wawancara dengan pelaku lesbian. Data dikaji dengan cara (1) Menentukan novel, (2) Mengaplikasikan strategi SQ3R, (3) Melakukan analisis structural, (4) Wawancara, (5) Mengidentifikasi teks, dan (6) Kodifikasi data. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa relasi homoseksual dalam Gerhana Kembar karya Clara Ng menampilkan aktifitas seksual, penyebab hubungan seksual, tipe hubungan seksual yang tidak jauh berbeda dengan heteroseksual. Hal tersebut ditemukan dari orientasi seksual butchi, femme tokoh lesbian dalam novel dan andro dari hasil narasumber yang membenarkan keadaan data yang ditemukan dalam novel tersebut dari narasumber penelitian.

English Abstract

Literary work is the communication between litterateur and readers. A literary work shows creative idea of the outhor, such as putting an entertainment element so that it can be enjoyed and accepted by wider community. The story that is shown in literary work is various, for examples of a novel by Clara Ng entitled Gerhana Kembar. This novel tells about love story in the same gender between two women. The aim of this to find out how the lesbianisme from the novel of Gerhana Kembar by Clara Ng with the current relation. This research used qualitative research by using descriptive method. Descriptive method is used to obtain data and analyze it in literary criticism with the picture of reality, so that the data that have been obtained valid without including other things. The data of this research are secondary data form a novel in the form of narratives and dialogs that describe lesbian relation while the primary data came from the results of interview with lesbian actor. The data are examined in a way : (1) Deciding the novel, (2) Applying SQ3R strategy, (3) Interview, (4) Identifying the texts, and (5) data codification. The results of this research showed that the relations of homosexual in Gerhana Kembar by Clara Ng showing sexual activity, cause of sexual relationship, type of sexual relationship that is not much different from heterosexual, in this case, in found from the sexual orientation of butchi, femme which are the lesbian actor in the novel and andro from the result of informant that justify the data found in the novel from research informant.
