Rozikin, Khairur (2019) Keanekaragaman Jamur Entomopatogen pada Rizosfer Pertanaman Padi Dataran Tinggi dan Rendah di Kabupaten Malang. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
Rice plants (Oryza sativa L.) are important food crops, because they produce rice which is a source of main food. In fulfilling the needs of rice there are several obstacles, one of which is insect pests. One alternative to pest control is utilizing the role of biological agents, namely entomopathogenic fungi. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of entomopathogenic fungi from rice plant rhizosphere in the high and low plains in Malang Regency. The study was conducted in August to October 2018 at the Biological Control Laboratory, Department of Plant Pests and Diseases, Faculty of Agriculture, Brawijaya University Malang. This research was carried out by taking samples of rhizosphere soil in rice fields in the highlands in Pujon Subdistrict, and Ngantang Subdistrict, in the lowlands in Sumberpucung Subdistrict and Kepanjen Subdistrict to analyze the diversity of entomopathogenic fungi. Observations of temperature and humidity were carried out using the HTC-2 thermohigrometer. Isolation Fungis from the soil were carried out by insect bait method using Tenebrio molitor larvae. The entomopathogenic fungi isolates obtained were analyzed descriptively based on the results of macroscopic and microscopic identification according to Gandjar et al. (1999) and Watanabe (2002). The results of the isolation of entomopathogenic fungi from the rhizosphere of rice plants in the highlands and low were obtained by 11 fungal isolates consisting of 5 genera, namely, Metarhizium sp. 1, Metarhizium sp. 2, Fusarium sp., Chaetomium sp., and Mortierella sp.. In the highland rice fields the number of entomopathogenic fungi found was 8 isolates consisting of 5 genera whereas in the lowlands the number of entomopathogenic fungi found was 3 isolates consisting of 2 genera. Fusarium sp., Metarhizium sp. 2, and Chaetomium sp. only found in the highlands. Metarhizium sp. 1 and Mortierella sp. found in the highlands and lowlands.
