Abstract

MSc. Denpasar merupakan kota yang memiliki nilai historis dan memiliki kawasan kota tua yang perlu dilestarikan. Terdapat berbagai aspek yang mempengaruhi keberadaan kota ini yaitu, aspek budaya, sosial, ekonomi, dan aspek biofisik yang membentuk keunikan dari kota tersebut. Gaya arsitektur Kolonial, Tionghoa, dan tradisional Bali. Hal ini memberikan warna bagi keindahan kota. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan preservasi dan konservasi pada kawasan bersejarah tersebut. Pengukuran kualitas visual koridor Jalan Gajah Mada sangat penting dilakukan karena dari hasil observasi dapat dijadikan acuan baik buruknya kualitas visual pada koridor. Diharapkan dengan adanya pengukuran ini dapat meningkatkan kualitas visual dari koridor Gajah Mada tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian kualitas visual koridor Jalan Gajah Mada Denpasar adalah metode campuran (Mix Method), penggunaan metode kualitatif dan metode kuantitatif. Metode kualitatif pada penelitian ini mengarah pada analisis deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik kawasan sesuai dengan teori dan elemen koridor jalan. Bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran kondisi awal lokasi penelitian. Penelitian ini melibatkan 100 responden masyarakat yang berada pada koridor penelitian. Kemudian hasil didapat berdasarkan kuesioner yang dianalisis secara kuantitatif menggunakan analisis statistik mean score, analisis faktor dan analisis regresi. Hasil yang didapat dari analisis kuantitatif dikaitkan dengan teori dan penelitian yang dilakukan terdahulu untuk melihat adanya penjelasan ilmiah berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh. Hasil dari analisis yang sudah dilakukan keseluruhan dari penilaian kualitas visual mendapatkan nilai dengan kategori agak negatif. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya pembenahan meningkatkan kualitas visual koridor Gajah Mada Denpasar. Namun faktor dari pengaruh kualitas visual koridornya cukup berpengaruh. Dari aspek-aspek yang dinilai kurang berdasarkan analisis mean score yang sudah dilakukan dalam hasil penelitian, perlu dilakukannya rekomendasi desain untuk meningkatkan kualitas dari koridor Gajah Mada. Sehingga kualitas visual dari koridor Jalan Gajah Mada Denpasar Meningkat.

English Abstract

Denpasar is a city that has historical value and has an old city that needs to be preserved. There are various aspects related to this city, namely, cultural, social, economic, and biophysical aspects that form the uniqueness of the city. Colonial, Chinese, and traditional Balinese style of architecture. This gives color to the beauty of the city. Therefore it is necessary to carry out maintenance and conservation in the historic area. This effort is carried out not only to maintain its historical value but to improve the physical identity of the region, improve the values of architecture and environmental design. The measurement of the visual quality of the Jalan Gajah Mada corridor is very important because the results of observations can be done with good visual quality in the corridor. It is hoped that this measurement can improve the visual quality of the Gajah Mada corridor. The research method used in the visual quality research of Jalan Gajah Mada Denpasar corridor is a mixed method (Mix Method), the use of qualitative methods and quantitative methods. The qualitative method in this study leads to descriptive analysis to describe the characteristics of the area in accordance with the theory and elements of the road corridor. Aim to get an overview of the initial conditions of the research location. This study involved 100 community respondents who were in the research corridor. Then the results are obtained based on questionnaires analyzed quantitatively using mean score statistical analysis, factor analysis and regression analysis. The results obtained from quantitative analysis are related to theory and previous research to see the existence of scientific explanations based on the results obtained. The results of the analysis that have been carried out overall from the visual quality assessment get a value with a rather negative category. Therefore it is necessary to improve the visual quality of the Gajah Mada corridor in Denpasar. However, the influence of the visual quality of the corridor is quite influential. From the aspects that are considered to be lacking based on the mean score analysis that has been carried out in the results of the study, design recommendations are needed to improve the quality of the Gajah Mada corridor. So that the visual quality of the Jalan Gajah Mada Denpasar corridor increases.
