Abstract

English Abstract

Com (Zea mays L.) is a plant commodity that is a source of carbohydrates and proteins that are rich in food components, including dietary fiber that requires the body such as essential fatty acids, isoflavones, minerals, antbocyanins, beta carotene, essential amino acid compositions, and others (Suarni Dan Yasin 2011). One of the corns developed is waxy corn (Zea mays ceratina). BPS East Java stated corn productivity from 2014-2017 4.77 tons I ha-1 5.05 tons I ha•1 5.07 tons I ha•1, and 5.04 tons ha-1 The increase was due to intensification method using inorganic fertilizers that claimed its one of the solutions used in large quantities that can be used by plants. The problems that occur are in addition to expensive and reliable prices and can also be used for various types of inorganic fertilizers. The role of organic materials that can be used sustainably and sourced from ingredients that can make soil fertility. Empty oil palm bunches as organic fertilizers have nutrient content C (35%), N (2.34%), C I N Ratio 15, P (0.31), K (5.53), Mg (0.96% ), and air (52%). The purpose of the study was get the best combination of the OPEFB compost (Oil Palm Empty Bunches) and inorganic fertilizers on the growth and yield of waxy com. The research hypothesis is compost application can reduce inorganic fertilizers and treatment 20 t ha-1 + 2/3 inorganic fertilizers give the best result of waxy corn. This research conducted from February to Mei 2019 in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Jatikerto Village, Kromengan District. The tools used are hoes, bolts, sickles, rulers, roll meters, raffia straps, sprayer, Leaf Area Meters (LAM), SPAD (Soil Plant Analysis DevelopmenV, scales, stationery, and cameras. The materials used were TICKS compost (Oil Palm Empty Bunches), SP-36, Urea, Arumba waxy com seeds, Curacron insecticides, Demolish insectisides, Emperor fungicide, and Antracol fungicide. The study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) using 9 treatments where treatment 0 with OPEFB (Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunches) compost 0 tons ba-1 + 1 part standard inorganic fertilizer, treatment 1 with OPEFB compost 5 tons ha-1 + 1/3 standard inorganic fertilizer, treatment 2 TKKS compost 5 tons ha•1 + 2/3 standard inorganic fertilizer, treatment of 3 TKKS compost 10 tons ba-1 + 1/3 standard inorganic fertilizer, treatment of 4 tons of OPEFB compost ha-1 + 2/3 inorganic fertilizer standard, treatment of 5 TKKS compost 15 tons ha-1 + 1/3 standard inorganic fertilizer, water 6 TKKS compost 15 tons ha-1 + 2/3 standard inorganic fertilizer, care 7 TKKS,compost 20 tons ba-1 + 1 I 3 standard inorganic fertilizers, and treatment of 8 OPEFB composts of 20 tons ha-1 + 2/3 standard inorganic fertilizers. Each use uses replications 3 times so that 27 treatments were obtained. Observations made were divided into observations of growth (plant height, number of leaves, leaf area and ammount of chlorophyll ), and yield components (fresh weight with husk, fresh weight without husk, diameter without cornhusk, length without comhusk, and yield per hectare). Observation of data using variance iii analysis (F Test) at the level of 5%. the results of the analysis of variance were significantly different followed by the BNJ test at the level of 5%. The results showed that the combination compost oil empty fruit bunch es (OEFB) and inorganic single NPK fertilizer treatment 8 compost OEFB 20 ton ha- 1 + 2/3 inorganic single NPK fertilizer is the best resuJt becau se this treatment can increase com growth, and produce the highest fruit weight worth 10,34 ton ha-1 or more highest 11,12% than treatment 0 OEFB 0 too ha-1 + 1 part standart inorganic single NPK fertilizer.
