Abstract

Jagung manis merupakan salah satu jenis jagung yang digemari karena memiliki rasa yang manis. Pemupukan pada masa fase pertumbuhan dapat meningkatkan kemanisan jagung manis. Pemupukan merupakan kegiatan pemberian pupuk dalam bentuk padat maupun cair dengan tujuan mengganti unsur hara yang hilang serta menambah persediaan unsur hara yang ditutuhkan tanaman unuk meningkatkan produksi dan mutu tanaman. Pupuk organik berfungsi meningkatkan sifat fisika, kimia dan biologi tanah, namun ketersediaan unsur hara pupuk organik bersifat slow release dan tidak dapat memenuhi kebutuhan unsur hara tanaman pada masa kritis. Pemupukan dengan pupuk organik perlu diimbangi dengan pupuk anorganik agar tanaman mendapatkan yang dibutuhkan pada masa kritis tanaman. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan kombinasi pupuk organik dan pupuk anorganik yang tepat terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman jagung manis. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah penambahan dosis pupuk organik hingga 16 ton ha-1 mampu memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil panen jagung manis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2018 hingga Juni 2019 di Agroekotekno Park Jatikerto. Alat yang digunakan adalah cangkul, traktor tangan, sabit, penyapu, meteran, jangka sorong, leaf area meter, timbangan digital, refraktometer dan oven. Bahan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini meliputi Benih jagung manis Talenta dari PT Agri Makmur Pertiwi, pupuk organik dari PT Sumberdaya Kendi Maxindo, Urea, NPK (15:15:15), Furadan 5GR, Curacron 500 EC, air dan amplop. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian non faktorial dan dirancang dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan perlakuan pupuk organik dan anorganik yaitu P0 (Pupuk Phonska 350 kg ha-1 dan Pupuk Urea 300 kg ha-1), P1 (Pupuk Phonska 175 kg ha-1, Pupuk Urea 150 kg ha-1 + pupuk organik 8 ton ha-1), P2 (Pupuk Phonska 175 kg ha-1, Pupuk Urea 150 kg ha-1 + pupuk organik 10 ton ha-1), P3 (Pupuk Phonska 175 kg ha-1, Pupuk Urea 150 kg ha-1 + pupuk organik 12 ton ha-1), P4 (Pupuk Phonska 175 kg ha-1, Pupuk Urea 150 kg ha-1+ pupuk organik 14 ton ha-1), P5 (Pupuk Phonska 175 kg ha-1, Pupuk Urea 150 kg ha-1 + pupuk organik 16 ton ha-1) dan diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Pengamatan pertumbuhan dilakukan dengan interval 2 mst dimulai dari 2 mst. Pengamatan non destruktif (Tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, diameter batang, jumlah ruas, dan panjang ruas) dan pengamatan destruktif (Bobot segar tanaman, bobot kering tanaman, dan luas daun). Paramater hasil panen meliputi; bobot panen; diameter tongkol dengan klobot; diameter tongkol tanpa klobot; panjang tongkol dengan klobot; panjang tongkol tanpa klobot dan derajat kemanisan jagung. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpukan bahwa penambahan dosis pupuk organik dan anorganik menunjukkan hasil panen yang sama. Namun penambahan pupuk organik hinga 16 ton ha-1 dan pupuk anorganik menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, luas daun dan bobot segar tanaman jagung manis.

English Abstract

Sweet corn a type of corn that is popular because it sweet taste. Fertilization during the growth phase can increase the sweetness of sweet corn. Fertilization is the activity of providing fertilizers in both solid and liquid form with the aim of replacing lost nutrients and increasing the supply of nutrients needed by plants to increase crop production and quality. Organic fertilizer functions to improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of the soil, but the availability of nutrients organic fertilizer is slow release and cannot meet the needs of plant nutrients at critical times. Fertilization with organic fertilizer needs to be balanced with inorganic fertilizer so that plants get what is needed at critical times of the plant. Organic and inorganic fertilization in the right amount and balanced needs to be done to improve the quality and production of sweet corn. The purpose of this research is to get the right combination of organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer on the growth and yield of sweet corn. The addition of a dose of organic fertilizer up to 16 tons ha-1 is able to have significant difference on the growth and yield of sweet corn. This research was conducted in December 2018 until June 2019 at Agroekotekno Park Jatikerto. The tools used are hoes, hand tractors, sickles, sweepers, meters, calipers, leaf area meters, digital scales, refractometers and ovens. The materials used in this study include Talenta sweet corn seeds from PT Agri Makmur Pertiwi, organic fertilizer from PT Sumberdaya Kendi Maxindo, Urea, NPK (15:15:15), Furadan 5GR, Curacron 500 EC, water and envelopes. This research is a non-factorial research and designed with a Randomized Block Design with treatment of organic and inorganic fertilizers namely P0 (Phonska Fertilizer 350 kg ha-1 and Urea Fertilizer 300 kg ha-1), P1 (Phonska Fertilizer 175 kg ha-1, Urea Fertilizer 150 kg ha-1 + organic fertilizer 8 tons ha-1), P2 (Phonska fertilizer 175 kg ha-1, Urea fertilizer 150 kg ha-1 + organic fertilizer 10 tons ha-1), P3 (Phonska fertilizer 175 kg ha-1, 150 kg urea ha-1 fertilizer + 12 tons ha-1 organic fertilizer, P4 (Phonska fertilizer 175 kg ha-1, 150 kg urea ha-1 fertilizer +14 tons ha-1 organic fertilizer), P5 (Phonska fertilizer 175 kg ha-1, Urea Fertilizer 150 kg ha-1 + organic fertilizer 16 tons ha-1) and repeated 4 times. Growth observed at 2 weeks after planting with 2 weeks interval afterward. Non-destructive observations (plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, number of segments, and length of segments) and destructive observations (fresh plant weight, plant dry weight, and leaf area). Crop parameters include; harvest weight; diameter of cob with husk; diameter of cob without husk; long cob with husk; the length of the cob without husk and the degree of sweetness of corn. The results of the study can be concluded that the addition of organic and inorganic fertilizer doses showed the same yield. The addition of organic fertilizer to 16 tons ha-1 difference on plant height, leaf area and fresh plant weight of sweet corn.
