Yohana, Swella Paskah (2019) Pengaruh Ekstrak Seresah Daun Mangga (Mangifera Indica L. Var. Arumanis) Pada Gulma Bayam Duri (Amaranthus Spinosus L.). Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
In agricultural crops, there are many obstacles that make productivity not optimal. One of them is the presence of plant pest organisms namely weeds. Thorny amaranth (Amaranthus spinosus. L) is one of the types of weeds that are most often found in areas of agricultural food crops and plantations. One way to prevent the growth of agricultural crops is not disturbed and prevent losses due to weeds in crop production, it is necessary to control. One of the environmentally friendly controls that can be done is by using allelopathy extract of mango leaf litter. Several studies have been carried out, mango leaves have allelopathic potential for several plants that have been tested. The purpose of this study was to study the effect of giving mango leaf extract in controlling thorny amaranth weeds and obtaining the right concentration of mango leaf extract in inhibiting the growth of thorny amaranth weeds. The research was conducted from March to May 2019 at the Green House owned by Ibu Dartaty, Ampeldento, Karangploso District, Malang City, East Java. The tools used in this study were mortar and pistile, measuring cup, scales, test tubes, volume pipettes, Whatman filter paper No. 1, scissors, knives, sprayers, ovens, rulers, plastic cups, marker labels, stationery and cameras. The material used in this study was litter of mango leaves (var. Arumanis), thorny amaranth seeds, aquades and soil. The research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 6 treatments, as follows: M0 = mango leaf litter extract concentration of 0% b/v, M1 = mango leaf litter extract concentration of 20% b/v; M2 = mango leaf litter extract concentration of 40% b/v; M3 = mango leaf litter extract concentration of 60% b/v; M4 = mango leaf litter extract concentration of 80% b/v and M5 = mango leaf litter extract concentration of 100% b/v with repetition of 4 times for each treatment. Observation parameters included plant height, number of leaves, root length, fresh weight, dry weight, phytotoxicity. Data obtained from observations were analyzed using a variety of analyzes with a level of 5%. If the real effect is obtained, it will be continued with the Least Significant Difference test (LSD) of 5%. The results showed that giving mango leaf litter extract with different concentrations had an effect on plant height, number of leaves, root length, fresh weight, dry weight and thorny amaranth poisoning levels. The level of poisoning found in thorny amaranth is 2, which shows a poisoning rate of 6-10%. Based on the growth response, the concentration of mango leaf litter extract which has the potential as an inhibitor of thorny amaranth growth inhibitor is a 80% w/v and 100% w/v concentration of mango leaf litter extract.
