Abstract
Maraknya bahan olahan pangan yang rendah gizi membuat krisis pangan sehat meningkat. Keragaman tanaman olahan pangan di Indonesia dapat dikembangkan untuk mengatasi masalah krisis olahan pangan bernutrisi, salah satu bahan olahan pangan yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat adalah labu madu yang termasuk kedalam familia Cucurbitaceae. Mengingat labu mempunyai kandungan nutrisi yang cukup lengkap diantaranya yaitu β-karoten atau provitamin A, zat gizi seperti protein, karbohidrat, beberapa mineral seperti kalsium, fosfor, besi, serta beberapa vitamin, yaitu vitamin B dan C. Untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut diperlukan upaya melalui media tanam dan aplikasi PGPR yang tepat. Hal tersebut dikarenakan bahan tanam yang tepat mampu menyuplai unsur hara bagi tanaman. Selain penggunaan media tanam, dilakukan pemberian PGPR yang merupakan sekelompok bakteri menguntungkan bagi tanaman, berpotensi untuk merangsang pertumbuhan dan meningkatkan hasil panen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan mendapatkan interaksi terbaik dari penggunaan media tanam dengan pemberian PGPR terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman labu madu. Adapun hipotesis yang diajukan peneliti adalah terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan media tanam dengan pemberian PGPR, perlakuan media tanam dan peberian PGPR berpengaruh nyata pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman labu madu. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2018 hingga Maret 2019 di Rumah Plastik Lahan Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Brawijaya, Desa Jatimulyo, Malang. Alat-alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian antara lain LAM (Leaf Area Meter), meteran, gembor, polibag besar (kapasitas polibag 5 kg), polibag semai (kapasitas polibag 1 kg), gawar, gunting pangkas, beaker glass, thermohygro meter, soil moisture meter, thermometer, lux meter, timbangan digital, jangka sorong, oven, paranet, baki, kamera dan alat tulis. Bahan-bahan yang digunakan ialah benih labu madu varietas Buldog F1, pupuk kandang kambing, Plant growthpromoting rhizobacteria (PGPR), pupuk kompos, arang sekam, dan alkohol 70 %. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial (RAL-F) dengan faktor pertama ialah media tanam yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yakni tanah (M0), pupuk kandang kambing (M1), campuran tanah dan pupuk kandang kambing (1 : 1) (M2). Sedangkan faktor kedua ialah konsentrasi aplikasi PGPR yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yakni 5 ml.L-1, 10 ml.L-1, dan 15 ml.L-1, sehingga secara keseluruhan terdapat 9 kombinasi perlakuan antara lain M0P1, M0P2, M0P3, M1P1, M1P2, M1P3, M2P1, M2P2, dan M2P3. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga diperoleh 27 satuan perobaan dengan masing – masing terdiri dari 3 tanaman sampel, sehingga total keseluruhan tanaman sampel sebesar 81. Pengamatan meliputi pengamatan pertumbuhan yang terdiri dari panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, umur berbunga, jumlah bunga, dan umur panen, sedangkan pengamatan hasil terdiri dari jumlah buah, panjang buah, diameter buah, bobot segar buah, bobot kering buah, bobot segar total tanaman, dan bobot kering brangkasan total tanaman. Analisa dataii menggunakan analisis ragam ANOVA dan dilanjutkan pengujian jika terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dengan uji BNT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan media tanam dengan pemberian berbagai konsentrasi PGPR terhadap berbagai komponen pengamatan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman labu madu. Secara terpisah, perlakuan media tanam pupuk kandang kambing memberikan hasil paling tinggi pada pengamatan panjang tanaman, jumlah daun, luas daun, panjang buah, diameter buah, bobot segar buah, bobot kering buah, bobot segar total per tanaman, dan bobot kering total per tanaman serta memberikan hasil paling cepat dalam umur berbunga dan umur panen tanaman. Sedangkan perlakuan konsentrasi PGPR menunjukkan bahwa tidak berbeda nyata terhadap berbagai komponen pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman labu madu
English Abstract
The emergence of low nutritious food ingredients has made the healthy food crisis decline. the diversity of foods preparation in Indonesia can be developed to resolve the problem of nutritional food processing crisis, one of the food processing ingredients can be utilized by the community is butternut squash which is included in the cucurbitacea family. Remember that butternut squash has a contain complete nutrition enough including β-karoten or provitamin A, protein, carbohydrate, mineral calsium, phosphor, iron, other vitamin, vitamin B and C. The effort that made this happen through planting media and right application PGPR. In addition to the use of planting media, PGPR is given which is a group of beneficial bacteria for plants, has the potential to stimulate growth and increase yields. The purpose of this research to find out influence and got the best interaction from the use of planting media by giving PGPR on the growth and the result of butternut squash plants. The hypothesis proposed by researchers is that there is an interaction between the treatment of planting media and application of PGPR, the treatment of planting media and the provision of PGPR have a significant effect on the growth and yield of butternut squash plants. This research was conducted in December 2018 until March 2019 at the plastic house for experiments at the faculty of agriculture, Brawijaya University, Jatimulyo Village, Malang. The tools used in this research included LAM (Leaf Area Meter), meters, ropes, large polybags (capacity of 5kg polybags), seedling polybags (capacity of 1kg polybag), gawar, pruning shears, beaker glasses, thermohygro meter, soil moisture meter, thermometer, lux meter, digital scales, calipers, oven, paranet, trays, camera, and stationary. The ingredients used were F1 varieties Bulldog seeds, goat manure, plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR), compost, husk charcoal, and 70% alcohol. The research uses Factorial Completely Randomized Design (RAL-F) with the first factor is a planting medium consisting of 3 levels consisting of soil (M0), goat manure (M1), soil mixture and goat manure (1: 1) (M2). While the second factor is the concentration of PGPR application which consists of 3 levels namely 5 ml.L-1, 10 ml.L-1, and 15 ml.L-1, so that overall there are 9 treatment combinations including M0P1, M0P2, M0P3, M1P1, M1P2, M1P3, M2P1, M2P2, and M2P3. Each treatment was repeated 3 times so that 27 units of experiment were obtained with each consisting of 3 sample plants, so that the total sample plant was 81. Observations included growth observations consisting of plant length, amount of leaf, leaf area, flowering age, amount of flowers, and age of harvest, while observations of results consisted of amount of fruit, fruit length, fruit diameter, fresh fruit weight, dried fruit weight, total plant fresh weight, and dried weight of total plant. Data analysis using analysis of variance of ANOVA and continued testing if there is a significant effect with the LSD test at the level of 5%. The results showed that there is no interaction between treatment of planting media by giving various concentration of PGPR to various components ofiv observation of growth and the result of the butternut squash plants. Separately, treatments of goat manure gave the highest result on observations of plant length, amount of leaf, leaf area, fruit length, fruit diamater, fresh fruit weight, dried fruit weight, total fresh weight of a plant, total dried weight of a plant and gave the fastest result in flowering age and harvest age. While PGPR concentration treatment showed that no significantly different to various growth components and the results of butternut squash plants.
