Abstract
Hutan Kota Malabar memiliki fungsi utama yaitu sebagai fungsi ekologis, akan tetapi Hutan Kota Malabar sedang dikembangkan menjadi kawasan obyek wisata yang akan bertambah fungsi sebagai fungsi sosial dan tempat masyarakat beraktivitas dan berinteraksi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik aktivitas pengguna Hutan Kota Malabara dan tingkat kualitas dari Hutan Kota Malabar Sebagai Ruang Publik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan membagi dua waktu amatan yaitu Weekend (Minggu) dan Weekday (Senin). Karakteristik aktivitas pengguna menggunakan 3 variabel, yaitu umur atau usia, jenis kelamin dan jenis kegiatan pengguna. Variabel untuk mengetahui kualitas ruang public Hutan Kota Malabar menggunakan variabel yang ada pada metode Good Public Space Index (GPSI) yaitu Intensity of Use (IU), Intensity of Sosial Use (ISU), People’s Duration of Stay (PDS), Temporal Diversity of Use, Variety of Use, dan Diversity of Users. Hasil dari tujuan pertama yaitu jumlah pengguna berdasarkan usia, jenis kelamin, jenis kegiatan, dan jumlah jenis kegiatan yang ada di Hutan Kota Malabar. Hasil ini kemudian menjadi data yang dimasukan ke dalam perhitungan yang menggunakan metode Good Public Space Index (GPSI) untuk mengetahui kualitas ruang publik Hutan Kota Malabar. Setelah dihitung diketahui tingkat kualitas pemanfaatan Hutan Kota Malabar sebagai ruang publik dikatakan baik karena nilai keseluruhan yang didapatkan pada saat Weekday maupun Weekend sebesar 3.08 dan 3.47 dengan tiga variabel mendapat nilai diatas 0.5 (Intensity of Sosial Use, People’s Duration of Stay, dan Temporal Diversity of Use) pada Hari Minggu, dan empat variabel (Intensity of Sosial Use, People’s Duration of Stay, Temporal Diversity of Use, dan Variety of Use) pada hari senin mendapatkan nilai index >0.5.
English Abstract
The Malabar City Forest has a main function, namely as an ecological function, but the Malabar City Forest is being developed into a tourist area that will increase its function as a social function and where people move and interact. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of the user activities of the Malabara City Forest and the level of quality of the Forest City of Malabar as a Public Space. This research is conducted by dividing the observation time, namely Weekend (Week) and Weekday (Monday). User activity characteristics use 3 variables, namely age or age, gender and type of user activity. Variables to determine the quality of public space in Malabar City Forest use variables that are in the method of Good Public Space Index (GPSI), namely Intensity of Use (IU), Intensity of Social Use (ISU), People's Duration of Stay (PDS), Temporal Diversity of Use , Variety of Use, and Diversity of Users. The results of the first objective were the number of users based on age, gender, type of activity, and number of types of activities in the Malabar City Forest. This result then becomes the data entered into the calculation using the Good Public Space Index (GPSI) method to determine the quality of the public space of the Malabar City Forest. After calculating the level of quality of utilization of Malabar City Forest as a public space is said to be good because the overall value obtained during Weekday and Weekend is 3.08 and 3.47 with three variables getting values above 0.5 (Intensity of Social Use, People's Duration of Stay, and Temporal Diversity of Use) on Sundays, and four variables (Intensity of Social Use, People's Duration of Stay, Temporal Diversity of Use, and Variety of Use) on Monday get an index value> 0.5.
