Abstract
Perubahan fisik dan non-fisik yang terjadi pada eks Pabrik Gula (PG) Tjolomadoe merupakan salah satu bukti nyata bentuk pelestarian dengan metode adaptive reuse pada bangunan cagar budaya yang usinya sudah lebih dari 157 tahun ini. Bangunan tua yang dahulu pernah aktif melakukan proses produksi gula dan kemudian sempat tidak digunakan selama 20 tahun, pada tahun 2017 diaktifkan kembali dengan mengubah fungsinya dari pabrik menjadi cultural center & comercial area, kemudian berubah nama menjadi “De Tjolomadoe”. Kajian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk memberi penilaian mengenai keaslian dari bangunan eks PG Tjolomadoe dengan metode Nara Grid oleh Van Balen. Hasil pengamatan lapangan dari kajian kualitatif-kuantitatif ini diperkuat dengan wawancara serta jejak pendapat kuisioner pada berbagai golongan masyarakat mulai dari yang awam sampai ahli. Hasil tersebut akan diolah dan dianalisis kedalam tabel nara grid. Hasil kajian menunjukan bahwa keaslian bangunan pada eks PG Tjolomadoe masih dipertahankan. Ruangan hanya beralih fungsi kegiatan, namun tidak menghilangkan sejarah fungsi asli ruangannya. Bangunan mengalami perkuatan struktur serta penambahan elemen arsitektural dan ornamen interior agar lebih menarik perhatian pengunjung.
English Abstract
Physical and non-physical changes that occur in the former Tjolomadoe Sugar Factory (SF) is one of the concrete proofs of the form of conservation with the adaptive reuse method in cultural heritage buildings that have been over 157 years. The old building that used to be active in sugar production and then was not used for 20 years, in 2017 was reactivated by changing its function from the factory to a cultural center & commercial area, then changed its name to “De Tjolomadoe”. The study aimed to provide an assessment of the authenticity of the ex SF Tjolomadoe building using the Nara Grid method by Van Balen. The results of field observations from this qualitative-quantitative study were strengthened by interviews and questionnaire impressions on various groups of people ranging from the layman to the experts. These results will be processed and analyzed into the grid table. The results of the study show that the authenticity of the building in the former SF Tjolomadoe is still maintained. The room only switches function activities but does not eliminate the history of the original function of the room. The building has strengthened the structure and the addition of architectural elements and interior ornaments to make it more attractive to visitors.
