Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari emotional intelligence terhadap market psychology dan investment decision-making. Emotional intelligence merupakan kemapuan seseorang dalam mengendalikan emosi. Pengendalian emosi yang baik dapat membawa seseorang kepada pengambilan keputusan yang baik, maka hal ini juga dapat mempengaruhi investor dalam mengambil keputusan. Selain faktor ekonomi dan politik, terdapat faktor lain seperti faktor psikologis yang mempengaruhi keputusan investor. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Malang dengan pertimbangan terdapat beberapa perusahaan sekuritas dan komunitas investor yang aktif bertransaksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner untuk memperoleh data dari responden secara langsung dan menggunakan metode PLS-PM (Partial Least Square Path Modeling) dalam menganalisis data yang telah di peroleh. Kuesioner pada penelitian ini menggunakan likertscale 5 point dan telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Hasil dari penelitiani ini menunjukkan bahwa emotional intelligence memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap investment decision-making. Saat seorang investor dapat mengendalikan emosinya, mereka dapat mengambil keputusan dengan baik. Terdapat pengaruh positif antara emotional intelligence dengan market psychology, dan terdapat pengaruh positif antara market psychology dengan investment decision-making.

English Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim to determine the effect of emotional intelligence on market psychology and investment decision-making. Emotional intelligence is a person's ability to control emotions. Good emotional control can bring someone to good decision making, so this can also affect investors in making decisions. Apart from economic and political factors, there are other factors such as psychological factors that influence investor decisions. This research was conducted in Malang considering that there are several securities companies and an investor community that is actively transacting This reserach uses a questionnaire to obtain data from respondents directly and use the PLS-PM method (Partial Least Square Path Modeling) in analyzing the data that has been obtained. The questionnaire in this study uses Likertscale 5 points and has been tested for validity and reliability. The results of this research show that emotional intelligence has a positive influence on investment decisionmaking. When an investor can control his emotions, they can make good decisions. There is a positive influence between emotional intelligence and market psychology, and there is a positive influence between market psychology and investment decision-making.
