Abstract

English Abstract

The bank is one of the financial service sector institutions that has the main activity of raising funds and redistributing them in forms of financing. Banks in their activities must provide a guarantee of trust in the community, therefore banks must always maintain their level of health in order to be a guarantee that the bank can be trusted. The profitability obtained by the bank in one period can be an instrument that can be a benchmark for the health of the bank. Profitability in this study uses the Return on Assets (ROA) ratio which calculates the ability of banks to obtain profits from total assets held. The greater the ROA ratio shows the greater the profit obtained by the bank. The purpose of this study is to prove the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Operational Costs per Operating Income (BOPO), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and Non Performing Loans (NPL) to bank performance as measured by the Return on Asset (ROA) ratio. ) This study also wants to see what variables greatly influence the acquisition of profitability for the bank. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis techniques and uses SPSS 23. Analysis results The results of this study indicate that simultaneously the variable Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Operational Cost per Operating Income (BOPO), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and Non Performing Loan (NPL) affects Return on Assets (ROA). Partially the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) ratio, Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and Non Performing Loans (NPL) have a positive but not significant effect on Return on Assets (ROA) and Operational Costs per Operational Income (BOPO) which have a significant negative effect on Return on Asset (ROA).
