Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang bagaimana peran media internal Kementerian Luar Negeri RI dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi pegawai melalui Tabloid Diplomasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran penerbitan media internal Tabloid Diplomasi dalam membangun internal relations pegawai Kementerian Luar Negeri RI. Adapun penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kementerian Luar Negeri RI yang merupakan badan pemerintahan yang memiliki visi melalui diplomasi total, ikut mewujudkan Indonesia yang bersatu, lebih aman, adil, demokratis dan sejahtera. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah konsep mengenai public relations, fungsi government public relations, media internal, internal relations. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif yang dilakukan dengan cara menggambarkan permasalahan yang telah diidentifikasi serta menganalisis hasil identifikasi tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa keberadaan media internal Tabloid Diplomasi sebagai salah satu media atau sarana untuk menjalankan peran government public relations Kementerian Luar Negeri RI dalam menjalin internal relations pegawai melalui 6 rubrik yang ada telah mencerminkan fungsi penerangan, fungsi Pendidikan, dan fungsi hiburan. Media internal ini juga berfungsi untuk mensosialisasikan program-program Kementerian Luar Negeri RI dalam rangka mewujudkan visi dan misi dalam konteks Total Diplomasi. Meski demikian, tim redaksi Tabloid Diplomasi perlu menambah personelnya dan menambahkan rubrik yang berfungsi sebagai sarana tanggapan pegawai seperti surat pembaca. Kemudian perlu dibuat suatu evaluasi media internal secara berkala agar dapat meningkatkan peranannya sebagai media internal Kementerian Luar Negeri RI.

English Abstract

This study discusses how the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs's internal media in meeting the information needs of employees through the Diplomacy Tabloid. The purpose of this research is to find out the role of the Tabloid Diplomacy's internal media publishing in building internal relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The research was carried out at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is a government body that has a vision through total diplomacy, contributing to the realization of a unified, safer, fairer, democratic and prosperous Indonesia. The theory used in this research is the concept of public relations, the function of government public relations, internal media, internal relations. This research is descriptive by using a qualitative approach which is done by describing the problems that have been identified and analyzing the results of the identification. The results of this study indicate that the existence of the Diplomacy Tabloid Internal Media as one of the media or means to carry out the role of the government public relations of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in establishing employee internal relations has been carried out or carried out through the six rubrics that have reflected information functions, education functions, and entertainment function. This internal media also serves to socialize the programs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in order to realize the vision and mission in the context of Total Diplomacy. Even so, the editorial team of the Diplomacy Tabloid needs to add its personnel and add rubrics that serve as a means of employee responses such as readers' letters. Then it is necessary to make an internal media evaluation periodically in order to increase its role as the internal media of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
