Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan smartphone addiction dengan unintentional procrastination. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan subjek sejumlah 400 orang. Subjek yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa aktif Universitas Brawijaya angkatan 2014 – 2018 yang menggunakan smartphone. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan kuisioner Smartphone Addiction Proneness Scale (SAPS) dan Unintentional Procrastination Scale (UPS). Skala akan disebar secara online menggunakan survey online yang informasinya akan disebar melalui media sosial, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode Pearson Product Moment. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara smartphone addiction dengan unintentional procrastination, dimana semakin tinggi smartphone addiction maka semakin tinggi unintentional procrastination.
English Abstract
This research aims to discover the correlation between smartphone addiction and unintentional procrastination. This research used quantitative with 400 subject. The subjects who participated in this research were active students 2014 - 2018 of Brawijaya University who were using smartphone. The instruments of this research was a questionnaire of Smartphone Addiction Proneness Scale (SAPS) and Unintentional Procrastination Scale (UPS). The scale was distributed via online by using survey online and the information was distributed on social media,then the collected data had been analyzed using Pearson Product Moment. The results of this research found out that there is a positive correlation between smartphone addiction and unintentional procrastination. The result shows when smartphone addiction is high, the unintentional procrastination becomes higher.
