Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara smartphone addiction dengan decisional procrastination. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional dengan metode Correlation Pearson Product Moment untuk hubungan antara variabel X dengan Y. Partisipan penelitian yakni mahasiswa/i S1 Universitas Brawijaya Malang sejumlah 400 orang yang aktif menggunakan smartphone dan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala Smartphone Addiction Proneness Scale (SAPS) dan Decisional Procrastination Scale (DPS). Uji analisis menggunakan bantuan R software versi 3.5.3 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat nilai signifikan yaitu 0,000 (p<0,05) dan nilai korelasi (r) sebesar 0.479 sehingga terdapat hubungan yang positif antara smartphone addiction dengan decisional procrastination yang berarti semakin tinggi perilaku smartphone addiction maka semakin tinggi pula decisional procrastination dan sebaliknya.
English Abstract
This study aims to analyze the relationship between smartphone addiction and decisional procrastination. This study uses a correlational type quantitative research with Correlation Pearson Product Moment method for the relationship between variable X and Y. The participants of this study is a graduate student of Brawijaya University, Malang with 400 people who actively used smartphones and with accidental sampling technique. The instrument in this study uses the scale of Smartphone Addiction Proneness Scale (SAPS) and Decisional Procrastination Scale (DPS). The analysis using R software version 3.5.3 for Windows. The results showed that there is a significant value of 0,000 (p <0.05) and correlation value (r) of 0.479 so this study prove that there is a positive relationship between smartphone addiction and decisional procrastination to students, which means that the higher smartphone addiction the higher decisional procrastination and vice versa.
