Abstract
Sudan Selatan adalah negara termuda di dunia yang kemerdekaannya tercapai melalui perang saudara selama puluhan tahun. Akibatnya kondisi masyarakat sangat terdampak, khususnya pendidikan bagi anak-anak. Kondisi pendidikan anak-anak di Sudan Selatan ditetapkan sebagai yang terburuk diantara negara-negara tetangga dan juga dunia. Melihat adanya kondisi pendidikan yang buruk bagi anak-anak yang mana merupakan generasi penerus bangsa. UNICEF hadir di Sudan Selatan melalui program pendidikannya untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang ada di Sudan Selatan. Program pendidikan UNICEF ini memiliki target-target yang perlu dicapai untuk memperbaiki kondisi pendidikan disana. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini fokus pada peran UNICEF yang hadir di Sudan Selatan melalui program pendidikannya. Dalam melihat peranan UNICEF disana, penulis menggunakan konsep peran organisasi internasional miliki Andre Hugo Pareira.
English Abstract
South Sudan is the youngest country in the world that its independence achieved through civil war for decades. It effects its society condition especially education for children. Children education condition in South Sudan set to be the worst among its country neighbor and also in the world. Seeing the bad condition of children education who is the next generation for the country. UNICEF came in South Sudan through the education programme to solve the education problems in South Sudan. UNICEF’s education programme has targets that need to be achieved to improve the education condition there. Therefore, the research focus on the role of UNICEF that present in South Sudan through its education programme. In seeing the role of UNICEF there, the author use the role of international organization concept by Andre Hugo Pareira.
