Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas mengenai proses pemberdayaan oleh Sekolah Komunitas Johar Baru kepada kelompok pemuda di wilayah kecamatan Johar Baru. SKJB merupakan salah satu program pemberdayaan yang dilaksanakan oleh Departemen Sosiologi Universitas Indonesia yang dibentuk untuk memberikan alternatif kegiatan bagi para kelompok pemuda di Johar Baru. Kegiatan yang berlangsung di SKJB bertujuan untuk membangun iklim yang produktif dan positif serta meningkatkan rasa kepercayan diri para pemuda di Johar Baru, SKJB merupakan salah satu wadah bagi para pemuda untuk menampung minat dan bakat mereka agar dapat tersalurkan dengan baik. Untuk mengetahui proses pemberdayaan yang telah dilakukan, penelitian ini menggunakan teori ACTORS Sarah Cook dan Steven Macaulay. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan yang dilaksanakan sesuai dengan konsep input teori ACTORS yaitu Authority, Confidence, Trust, Oppurtunities, Responsibilites dan Support . lalu terdapat juga hasil ouput yang merupakan harapan dan tujuan dari terbentuknya SKJB. Hasil output yang dihasilkan sesuai dengan output berdasarkan konsep teori ACTORS. Ouput yang dihasilkan dan dirasakan oleh para pemuda tersebut ialah Self Relience, Self Respect dan juga self confidence. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Atas analisis metode ini diketahui bahwa terdapat dua tahapan dalam proses pemberdayaan SKJB. Kedua tahapan tersebut ialah tahapan awal program dan tahapan pelaksanan program.
English Abstract
This study discusses the empowerment process by the Johar Baru Community School to youth groups in the Johar Baru sub-district. SKJB is one of the empowerment programs carried out by the Department of Sociology of the University of Indonesia which was formed to provide alternative activities for youth groups in Johar Baru. The activities that took place at the SKJB aim to build a productive and positive climate and enhance the self-confidence of the youth in Johar Baru, SKJB is a forum for young people to accommodate their interests and talents so that they can be channeled well. To find out the empowerment process that has been done, this study uses ACTORS theory Sarah Cook and Steven Macaulay. The results showed that empowerment carried out in accordance with the concept of ACTORS input theory, namely Authority, Confidence, Trust, Oppurtunities, Responsibilites and Support. then there is also the output of the output which is the hope and purpose of the formation of the SKJB. The output results are in accordance with the output based on the ACTORS theory concept. The output produced and felt by the youth is Self Relief, Self Respect and also self confidence. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. For the analysis of this method it is known that there are two stages in the SKJB empowerment process. The two stages are the initial stages of the program and the stages of program implementation
