Abstract
Apartemen merupakan salah satu solusi terhadap permasalahan kebutuhan hunian di kota – kota besar, salah satunya adalah Kota Bandung. Apartemen sendiri memiliki jenis ruangan yang beragam salah satunya adalah tipe studio yang paling digandrungi oleh masyarakat karena harganya yang relatif murah. Namun karena hal tersebut ruangan yang tercipta pun menjadi terbatas sehingga terjadi penggabungan fungsi ruang yang berbeda ke dalam satu ruanganan akibat penggabungan ruangan tersebut area menjadi lebih sempit dan fungsi furnitur yang ada tidak sesuai dengan aktivitas yang dilakukan. Maka dari itu dibutuhkan sebuah furnitur yang mampu menerapkan konsep furnitur pintar (smart furniture) agar furnitur yang ada dapat menampung berbagai macam aktivitas penggunanya sehingga ruangan yang terciptanya menjadi lebih luas. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dengan variabel penelitian yang terdiri dari variabel terikat (aktivitas penghuni) dan variabel bebas (furnitur rumah tangga, sirkulasi dan furnitur pintar). Untuk teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari data primer dan datar sekunder. Pada data primer terdapat penyebaran kuisioner yang penyebarannya dilakukan sebanyak 2 kali. Pada penyebaran kuisioner pertama, bertujuan untuk mengetahui furnitur yang memiliki fungsi beragam di dalam apartemen selain itu untuk mengetahui kegiatan yang dilakuakan di dalam furnitur tersebut. Setelah penyebaran kuisioner tahap pertama dilakukan analisis dengan teknik analisis visual dan permodelan. Analisis visual terdiri dari pengamatan pada furnitur dan apartemen tipe studio. Untuk analisis permodelan berupa rekomendasi desain (furnitur pintar) yang terdiri dari tiga alternatif rekomendasi desain. Ketiga alternatif rekomendasi desain tersebut kemudian dianalisis dan dibandingkan kemudian disimpulkan bahwa alternatif rekomendasi desain 1 dan 2 merupakan alternatif rekomendasi desain yang paling baik dalam menerapkan konsep furnitur pintar dilihat dari konsep, konstruksi & material yang digunakan serta pencapaian konsep furnitur pintarnya sendiri. Untuk mendapatkan hasil yang lebih baik akhirnya disebarkan lagi kuisioner. Kuisioner tahap dua ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui alternatif rekomendasi desain yang paling sesuai untuk diterapkan di dalam unit studio menurut para penghuni apartemen tipe studio. Dari Hasil Penyebaran kuisioner, disimpulkan bahwa alternatif rekomendasi desain 2 merupakan alternatif rekomendasi desain yang paling baik untuk diterapkan di dalam apartemen tipe studio. Sehingga secara keseluruhan pada penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa furnitur yang ada pada eksisting masih belum mampu mewadahi berbagai aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh penghuni di dalam apartemen dengan unit hunian tipe studio oleh karena itu dirancang sebuah furnitur yang mampu menerapkan konsep furnitur pintar dilihat dari beberapa aspek seperti standar dimensi furnitur dan penerapan 4 aspek desain fleksibel yang merupakan konsep furnitur pintar.
English Abstract
Apartment appears as a solution to problems related to residential needs in big cities, including Bandung. Apartment offers variety of room types, one of which is the studio type which is the most favourite one for its cheaper price. Unfortunately, this type of room has limited space, requiring a merger of different space functions to fit in one room. This merger also makes the room becomes narrower while common furniture often cannot accommodate occupants’ activities. Therefore, smart furniture concept should be applied to create furniture that can accommodate occupants’ activities and leave wider space in the room. This descriptive research was conducted using qualitative approach to analyze research variables consisting of dependent variable (occupants’ activities) and independent variables (furniture, circulation, and smart furniture). This research regarded primary data and secondary data. Primary data were collected from questionnaires which were distributed twice. The first distribution of questionnaires aimed to determine the multi function of furniture in an apartment and to analyze occupants’ activities that relate with the furniture. The results of the questionnaires were analyzed using visual and modelling techniques. Visual analysis included observation toward the furniture in studio apartment. Meanwhile, the modelling analysis included three alternative designs of smart furniture as design recommendations. Those three alternative design recommendations were analyzed and compared, and design recommendation 1 and 2 were selected as the best smart furniture designs based on the application of smart furniture concept and the use of construction & material that best fit the smart furniture concept. In order to obtain better results, the questionnaires were distributed for the second time to determine which of the recommended designs that fit to be put in studio apartment based on occupants’ preferences. The results showed that design number 2 was the best design to be applied for studio-type apartment. Generally, the results of this research indicated that the existing furniture could not yet accommodate the activities of studio-type apartment occupants. In this research, furniture were designed based on the concept of smart furniture that covered several aspects including furniture dimension and the application of 4 aspects of flexible design for smart furniture.
