Abstract

Film Romeo and Juliet 1996 merupakan film yang menceritakan hubungan romantis atau romantic relationship seseorang. Film ini mencoba merepresentasikan dan mengkonstruksi realitas hubungan percintaan seseorang dan bagaimana romantic relationship direpsresentasikan melalui teks dialog. Tujuan penelitian iniadalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis teks dialog yang ada pada film Romeo and Juliet 1996. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskripstif dengan pendekatan konstruktivis. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunkana teknik analisis tekstual Alan McKee. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembangan hubungan romantis adalah Retorika dalam komuniksai face to face, trustness (kepercayaan), Komitmen dan Kesetiaan, dan sacrifice (pengorbanan). Temuan penelitian ini adalah retorika dalam komunikasi tatap muka merupakan faktor terpenting dalam suatu hubungan romantis.

English Abstract

Romeo and Juliet 1996 was a film about a romantic relationship between two people. This film tried to construct the reality of romantic relationship between two people and how romantic relationship can be represented and constructed through a dialogue text. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the existing text in the film Romeo and Juliet 1996. This type of research is descriptive qualitative constructivist approach. Methods of data collection is done by using the documentation. This study uses Alan McKee tectual analysis technique. The result of this research indicate that the factors that influence the development of romantic relationships are Rethotic in face to face communication, trustness, commitment and loyalty, and sacrifice. The findings of this study are the rethoric in face to face communication is the most important factor in a romanic relationship.
