Abstract
Internet merupakan sekumpulan Autonomous System yang saling terkoneksi untuk melakukan pengiriman paket data. Dalam melakukan pemilihan route untuk melakukan pengiriman data dibutuhkan protokol routing tertentu. Penelitian ini penting dilakukan untuk mengetahui protokol routing mana yang memiliki kinerja terbaik. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan protokol routing OSPF, RIP dan EIGRP yang diimplementasikan pada topologi mesh dan diukur kinerjanya berdasarkan parameter delay, update routing table, packet loss dan throughput. Hasil simulasi dan pengujian menunjukkan EIGRP memiliki nilai rata-rata delay terendah dibandingkan OSPF dan RIP. Hasil pengujian update routing table, EIGRP memiliki nilai update routing tercepat dibandingkan OSPF dan RIP. Hasil pengujian packet loss yang dikonfigurasikan menggunakan OSPF, RIP dan EIGRP pada topologi mesh yaitu 0% atau tidak terjadi packet loss. Hasil pengujian throughput, OSPF memiliki nilai throughput paling tinggi dibandingkan EIGRP dan RIP. Sehingga EIGRP memiliki kinerja terbaik berdasarkan parameter delay dan update routing table. Dan OSPF memiliki kinerja terbaik berdasarkan parameter throughput.
English Abstract
The internet is a set of Autonomous Systems that are connected to each other to send data packages. In choosing a route to send data, a certain routing protocol is needed. This research is important to know which routing protocol has the best performance. In this study using OSPF, RIP and EIGRP routing protocols that are implemented in the mesh topology and measured performance based on delay parameters, update routing table, packet loss and throughput. Simulation and testing results show EIGRP has the lowest average delay value compared to OSPF and RIP. The results of testing the update routing table, EIGRP has the fastest update routing value compared to OSPF and RIP. The packet loss test results which configure with OSPF, RIP and EIGRP in mesh topology are 0% or there is no packet loss. Throughput test results, OSPF has the highest throughput value compared to EIGRP and RIP. So EIGRP has the best performance based on delay parameters and update routing table. And OSPF has the best performance based on throughput parameters.
