Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat/mengetahui gambaran forgiveness pada istri terhadap wanita idaman lain yang memiliki perselingkuhan dengan suaminya. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 4 orang. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Metode pengambilan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara dan observasi. Peneliti menggunakan teknik analisis data interaksional Milles and Hubberman berdasarkan tiga dimensi forgiveness McCollough, Root, & Cohen (2006). Tiga dimensi forgiveness tersebut ialah avoidance motivation, revenge motivation, dan benevolence motivation. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa subjek S, NN, Kur, dan Budhe sudah tidak memiliki perilaku yang menunjukan avoidance motivation dan revenge motivation, dimana keempat subjek justru memiliki perilaku yang menunjukan benevolence motivation. Tidak adanya perilaku yang menunjukan avoidance motivation dan revenge motivation serta munculnya perilaku yang menunjukan adanya benevolence motivation tersebut dapat menggambarkan bahwa keempat subjek dapat memberikan forgiveness kepada WIL. Forgiveness yang diberikan subjek kepada WIL dalam penelitian ini membawa dampak positif pada kehidupan sehari-hari subjek dalam penelitian ini.
English Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out the description of forgiveness in the wife of another ideal woman who had an affair with her husband. The subjects in this study amounted to 4 people. This research is a type of qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The data analysis method in this study used interviews and observation. The researcher used interactive data analysis Milles and Hubberman techniques based on three dimensions of forgiveness McCollough, Root, & Cohen (2006). The three dimensions of forgiveness are avoidance motivation, revenge motivation, and benevolence motivation. The results of this study indicate that subjects S, NN, Kur, and Budhe did not have behavior that showed avoidance motivation and revenge motivation, subjects actually had behaviors that showed virtue motivation. The absence of behavior that shows avoidance of motivation and revenge motivation and the emergence of behaviors that show virtue motivation can illustrate that the four subjects can give forgiveness to the WIL. Forgiveness given by the subject to another ideal woman in this study had a positive impact on the daily lives of the subjects in this study.
